yes. we need to get him some PT this year so that he's ready to be the best QB in the SEC next year (no excuses)

games like NSU, WKU, UK, etc are perfect games for him to get at least a quarter of running the real offense

If was the backup, sure. But he's not, he's 3rd string. And I think the immediate goal should be to do everything we can to win all our games THIS YEAR. We'll worry about '12 in the spring.

IMO they both need as much PT as possible if they are going to be splitting time.

for what? a magical transition?

Agree, he should've played the 4th yesterday. Even over Lee.

To work on things. Jefferson threw the ball more the 1st half than he has all year. And he looked pretty damn sharp. Lee did some things with scrambling and running the option that he hasn't done all year. Who knows, we may at some point need those. The more bullets you have at your disposal the better. You never know when the opportunity will present itself to use one.

The goal is to keep both of them ready for the teams we have yet to play. Sitting out isn't going to help either of them.

No no and no.

Experienced QB anyway. It is not like he is some RS freshman.

Two senior QB need all the snaps they can get.

throwing bombs to RR in single coverage isn't really working on much, though

i hope we rarely see that again

running a simple offense against an unathletic opponent isn't going to help really, either

Third-string QBs don't usually get too many snaps.

Are you saying they are the cure all for Mett 2012? His performance next year would not be affected one way or the other by playing against WKU last night.

If Lee goes down we lose an important dimension, unless Mett is ready.
The failure to give him some snaps is inexplicable.
Les is a very good coach.
AS we ALL know, he is not infallible, and can be bone headed at times.

Holy crap. Is that LSU's sked next September?

Good thing they'll be ranked No. 1 preseason.

No I don't care. I can honestly say that not a single care in the world is given about his playing time.

no, Im saying that snaps vs wuk would benefit ZM more so than JL in the 4th qrt of a fricking blowout.
Not that difficult to understand.

Well, then you're just not searching hard enough to find something to be upset about. You're obviously not a true Tiger fan.
