Yes, Scone believes that is the reason LSU has not fired House is because the brokers cannot come up with the buyout money and they need to see if he can leave on his own for an NFL job

Bc if we can’t start making some better financial decisions…

So Mascona is back peddling after saying “House will 100% be fired” and instead of admitting he could be wrong, he comes up with this story? Checks out.

Very contradictory to his day to day LSU has plenty of money to hire / fire anyone.

He also said, before the season was over on whiskey and wine, that House was fired “100% fired, you don’t survive this…after discussion with ppl, it’s a done deal, trust me” laughed at the thought of house staying.

Our fans are really stupid enough to not comprehend that coaches having buyouts in their contract isn't something only LSU does huh?

I quoted exactly what you said. No matter what you meant it is, it's still completely idiotic.

If LSU doesn’t get rid of House they will have to pay a buyout for their head coach in the next couple of years. House’s buyout is a discount.

He has 13 months left on his contract.
0.9 x $2mln + prorated amount for ~2 weeks if fired after the bowl, so approx $1.875mln

There’s a big difference between not being able to come up with the money (which we all know is bullshite) and waiting a bit longer for the NFL coaching carousel to get going. If you know a mutually beneficial arrangement can be set up that will spare House being fired before going off to his next job and us most of that buyout money, then why light that entire amount on fire if you don’t have to?

I imagine House will get a little something to incentivize him to go away, but not close to the entire buyout. But he would also get to move on without being fired. Saban didn’t same with BOB and Golding last year. Happens all the time.

That’s not a bad compensation deal. Typical for these days.
