So, consider that. Purdue has been far more successful than LSU when it comes to QBs; it wouldn't be a shocker if a guy that couldn't start there could still come start here, or a lot of other places. It would be like saying that so-and-so wasn't good enough to start at linebacker at Penn State, so he must be crap.

His stats don't look anywhere near decent. If he put up those stats at LSU, people would be wondering why he was still on the team.

Harris will be the starter. I don't like it, but it will happen.

Brandon Harris will be the best QB in the SEC next year

All I know is that he didn't have the talent to win the QB job at Purdue.
But he isn't competing for the job at Purdue! He just needs to be better than Harris & Jennings. Much more accurate than those two especially in the short to intermediate range throws.

Believe it when I see it. From all I've heard Etling is better as of now

This isn't the same Purdue back when Brees was playing. Give it up.

There are some folks that are close to the program that think Etling will win the job at some point during the season but probably not by gsme 1.

LOL. There are some folks close to the program that say this crap every year. Outside of JL, no other QB has lost his job for the rest of the year in Miles's tenure. Jennings relinquished his job for one game, Harris blew chunks, Jennings played the rest of the year.
We have this great backup that people love to bring up every year, but he is never what people think he is.
Rivers never played, Rettig never played, Bolden never played, Randall never played, and all transfered and all have sucked or got beat out for a spot. Garrett got fat, Shepard never threw a pass, we saw in 2012 that Mett was not ready for 2011 prime time no matter how many LSU fans wanted him to play.
People need to focus on the fact that we have a 3rd year player at QB with a year of starting experience and a good year of backup experience (Harris played more in 2014 than the majority of backups will play in a single year).

I heard Etling had gotten hurt while at purdue and the coaches didn't really want to take a chance at making him the starter. And apparently he is a brilliant decision maker. He ran a QB simulator at LSU where it's like playing against a real defence and he made the correct throw 98% of his attempts. They say not many QBs at all has that high of percentage. So he has that going for him.

Chad Kelly is coming back to Ole Miss bro.

Yeah he started several games at Purdue. Etling's strenghts are Harris' weaknesses. He's accurate and he's great at being able to fully grasp the playbook. I've also read numerous times he's a natural leader.

How hard is that to understand?.. He got hurt at Purdue.. couldn't get his starting job back. He transferred..
