Once again this board is doubting Clyde. He’s a late first round pick. He’s perfect for modern day NFL offenses. He can run between the tackles and has the best hands of any RB in the draft.

With the exception of Fournette and Guice, I don’t think any of the many RBs coming out of LSU have gone higher than the 2nd round and they have had some very productive years in the NFL.

Ray Rice was a comparison that I thought was interesting.

Good thing you aren’t a GM because that’s hilarious.

He’s not a first round pick because he’s bad, he’s not a first round pick because they’re a only two first round RBs in this draft due to the devaluation of the position. It’s really Etienne, Swift, then CEH, Najee Harris, Jonathan Taylor, and Zack Moss in whatever order makes most sense based on offensive fit.

I don't think CEH will be first round. One of the playoff teams like Patriots, Greenbay, Saints grade his skill set better because of need for the position but he would need to last until the 2nd round for those to get him.

Where ever he goes I don't want to him in the NFC South or the Rams. I do worry a team like Tampa Bay/ Bruce Arians will snag him in the 2nd or 3rd.

No.
He tops out as a second or third round guy.
RBs just aren’t valued in the draft anymore

No. He’s 3rd or 4th at highest. He’s perfect for the NFL game now though and I ju ST hope he goes somewhere that he fits well.

Barring some sort of miracle like you said, he's not running 4.3. We have seen him on breakaway plays and he just doesn't have that top speed. Extremely agile and quick, but he doesn't have Fournette's speed in the open field despite being a good 20 pounds lighter. Fournette ran a 4.5, which I thought was a bit strange considering the way he ran at LSU when he was wide open. I would expect CEH to clock in around there, maybe a little slower.

I get what you're saying but I think the difference in our offensive scheme has alot to do with this. When Fournette was here the box was stacked and it was still run up the middle or off tackle majority of the time. Fournette had the size and skills to get through and break a couple tackles and once he did that it was one man to beat. Usually that guy wasn't directly out and front and if they were they were 5 yards in front of him and not downfield. Like you said his speed allowed him to break away but more importantly he was very good at forcing the defense to take brutal angles.
This year with our current offensive there are more defensive players down field CEH's quickness, speed, and ability to make a guy multiple guys miss allowed him to get 5-10 additional yards than most backs would but those shifty moves also allow the additional guys in coverage downfield to close in and get better angles.

Nah! Prolly no earlier than the third round. He needs really good NC stats and NFL Combine. So does everyone else. We'll see.

Only 2 td? Why short Clyde on that stat?? He had 4 vs bama jj had 4 vs Oklahoma. It will be good but I do think curry gets at least one TD for sure
