It would benefit him greatly to stay and improve his defensive consistency and power hitting numbers.

I don’t think he does. He has no leverage if he comes back and I think a lot of fans underestimate what leverage actually means in real life.

He will get more money in draft this year then if he comes back and has to sign a senior deal for likely what dugas got

Yeah, especially if he continues to play well in post-season. Depends on what he is told his draft stock is after the Tigers finish. Money talks.

I would say 50/50

Don't know his intentions. But if he wants to go pro, he will let them know and will be a top 10rd pick.

So without looking it up, jones qualifies for draft because of age?

Yes, if your birthday is Aug1 or earlier, you are eligible. I think Jones is Aug1

Hope not but if a team takes a flyer at him you never know.

Only thing that concerns me about jones is he loses protection with white moving on
He made huge strides defensively but another year will help shore up his hitting to remove the holes in his swing
The power is off the charts though and mlb will think they can fix his remaining issues in the minors

Will be interesting, most draft prospect rankings put him in a draft position with a slot value in the 300k range. Obviously NIL won’t be able to match that, but it’s also not zero.
