Does anyone know why JOBIII was benched in 2nd half? Or, you could...

...make something up or start a rumor!

He had, I think, 8pts @ half-time, seemed to be playing hard, but got benched for 1st 12 min. of the 2nd half...

Must've been something in the locker room? What did he do to get in the DogHouse? He didn't fumble; I doubt they drug-test at half-time; what could it be?

I heard one rumor that it was that he was yelling at teammates inappropriately....I would assume at halftime.

I was good with sitting him awhile though cause he jacked about 5-6 jumpers and fall-aways I thought were ill advised in the first half. And I thought he had been getting a handle on that.

JJ likes to bench players.

Carmouche (sp) really turned around after being benched for a few games last year.

I only remember Carmouche being benched for the Tennessee game for snapping at one of the assistant coaches 3 minutes in.

For a guy so highly thought of, JOB seems to be extremely soft with his game and his demeanor sometimes.

I'm betting Coach was on his case, and has been on his case for awhile, and he didn't take the criticism too well.

JOB needs to learn he isn't 'the man' on LSU's team anymore and adjust his attitude accordingly.

That 3 years in he keeps jacking outside jumpers and fal-aways that he's never consistently hit drives me nuts.

That's not his game and I'm quite certain JJ reminds him of that constantly.

He just appears soft sometimes this year.

Well, whatever the reason, no issue with JJ sitting him tonight. I could take issue with JJ on some other things, but not that.

JOB3 played 18 minutes in the first half and had ZERO rebounds. That is unacceptable from him. There is no way that team should have abused us on the boards like they did.

That's the real reason he was benched.

For a guy with his size and strength, he takes way too many fade-aways. He needs to attack the rim.

I've only seen two games. But as a former post player I can see his frustration. He works so hard to get good position on the block and almost never gets the ball thrown into him. He would have good post position and the guy with the ball wouldn't even look down low. There is nothing more frustrating for a post player. And like it or not, that's what he is.

Hickey and Stringer both outrebounded Mickey and JOB3 for the game.

That cannot frickin happen. JJ has "Got" to get a handle on this. It's been talked by about by coaches but it ain't happening, so something different needs to be done by those coaches.

Cause that team outrebounding us by 14.? That is a fricking problem with a big athletic team like Tennessee coming in.

I actually noticed more than one time he let the White Shadow whip him in the post and really didn't get very good post position for the entry pass.

Look, he's been shooting about 20% over his career on the outside jumpers and fall-aways. I don't care how frustrated he is, there comes a time when you have to concede your limitations. Time is now.

LSU Front court players are a bunch of wussies. I go to all the home BB games, and they are affraid to "block out" on the defensive boards. On offense, no one is willing to set picks that involve any contact. When the likes of Rhode Island, McNese State, etc. keep getting 2nd and third shots, maybe Coach has had enough.........
