He has really struggled the entire season. He was one of the best punters on the planet last year. Does anybody have any info on what's wrong?

His twitter says he was watching college football.

I assume he's spent more time on partying and dating white girls than actual practicing after he became famous last year...

Why does everybody keep going to the "white girls" line with Wing?

Take this fwiw...Both Wing and Mett spend a lot of time at Club Bojangles. And there's an all too familiar correlation between regulars at Bogies and disappointing performances. Just saying haha

Idiot, Wing is fine. Are you blind? You yourself said he was "one of the best punters on the planet last year", do you really expect a kid in college to keep up that extremely high level all of the time? He played fine and is still obviously one of the best punters in college football, just because he's not punting better than half of the punters in the NFL doesn't mean there's a problem.

Seriously, go look at Wing's kicking for the season and you'll see that he's just barely below average... for an NFL punter... and he's a SO in college. Anyone who expected his stats to look like last season is just experiencing what we call "wishful thinking". He is a great punter, and I'm calling right now that by the end of the season he will have shut any naysayers up*

*By naysayers I mean people who actually have legitimate concerns about the team and not people who are just complaining for the sake of complaining after a win.

Sorry, I know this has nothing to do with me, but who the frick are you? Oh right, some negatiger who has no clue what they're talking about and probably wont bother responding to this post because, while you can obviously take someones words and make fun o f them, you can't actually take a real battle of words and just resort to trying to insult people.

FYI, I also think the guy you were quoting is an idiot who contributed nothing at all worthwhile to this topic and shouldn't have even bothered to post. Damn rantards, I've been reading this shite since 2006 and you're all just as rantarded as ever. Come on LSU fans, use your damn brains.

His "short" punting game is not nearly as good this year as it was last year. Last year, he regularly dropped the ball inside the 5 yard line. This year, he has had a problem pinning the opponent deep.

One stat: last year he had a total of 5 touchbacks all season.

This year: he has 7 touchbacks already.

I recall one game where he really struggled. He had a couple of good punts today. His punts often result in touchbacks, thus negating 20 yards... like the A&M game for example. He kicked a 60+ yard punt that only netted 40+ yards because of the touchback.

He had a hamstring problem earlier this season. Looks like it's not totally healed.

Do you not realize that 5 touchbacks in a season is about average for an NFL punter? Again, anyone who expected Brad Wing to keep up his NFL level stats in his second year of college is an idiot. No, his directional kicking has not been as good. He also hasn't had much help from the wind so far this year, as opposed to last year... come on.

EDIT: There's also the fact that with this offense going 3 and out so much, we're punting a lot more than last year, so duh amazing stat we have more touchbacks because we punt more wow.

He probably likes his lifestyle. It may be as simple as a lack of focus.

Relly? Alright, so you are telling me that a person who has spent his whole life learning how to be good at kicking (foot)balls, cannot focus for 10 seconds a few times every saturday to kick as well as he possibly can, even though he's been trained to kick (foot)balls nearly his whole life and he knows that the better he kicks the more money he'll be making soon? Look chumps, take it from someone who attends LSU and see's Brad on a daily basis, his lifestyle is more subdued than many and he is as focused as any. Pay attention... nothing is going to be the same as last year. That was the best regular season in LSU history, the players aren't going to put up the same insane numbers it is insane to even consider that they might.

Really? So you've charted wind directions during all of Wings punts both last year and this year...AND THEN compared the two. If so, wow! But, I'm calling bullshite until proven otherwise.
