Does anyone know a way to get a 4K broadcast of the LSU games?

Any of the dish companies or streaming services offering this - preferable live?

cameras in the stadium make it 4k. distribution companies can't give you 4k if cameras at the stadium aren't

4k over the air programming doesnt exist, it would take an astronomical amount of bandwith upgrading to get to this point. We're not even at 1080p yet. Anything you see on tv that isn't on demand or through a smart app is 720p/1080i max.

I know Netflix is offering 4K movies online. I was hoping (wishful thinking) that the SEC network was doing the same.

Not to be an arse, but it's not exactly a secret that 4k content is sparse.

How much of that 4k content is live?

Yeah Netflix, Amazon Instant Video are just a couple places offering streaming 4k content, but it's just that, streaming content through an app...NOT live over the air content.
Over the air tv content wont be 4k for a very very long time. Like I said, it's not even 1080p yet. Just 1080i/720p max. There has to be a huge infrastructure upgrade to accommodate the bandwith needed to broadcast 4k content live OTA.

Why are you asking me this?

i clicked the wrong reply button.
one feature that really annoys me about this forum. If you are going to have a quote system you really dont need a reply to: function on every single post.
but i digress. 4k ultra HD LIVE programming is still years away.

Very few channels are even broadcasting in 1080p right now. Most are still either 720p or 1080i.
4k is a long way from being widely used in broadcast formats.

This. The infrastructure isn't anywhere near the point of being able to handle the transmission of data necessary for that type of broadcast. You think cable is high now, what until the next significant upgrades to cable & internet take place. Anyone know if a 4k converter would work in the mean time though?

except it's not really.

It's a marketing gimmick just like the plasmas that advertise the 600hz refresh rates.
