To answer your question LSU basically uses these games vs North Texas, Idaho.....etc as Scrimmages. We play the best in the country so these games are not threats.

North Texas will come out of the chute all jumping around and hollering, waving arms in the air. THEN kickoff and the pads will be popping and the meangreen will get a wake-up. Close for 1st quarter, then the overpowering begins.
