I was sitting next to these dudes at the game. guy #1 has the biggest calves I've ever seen. Puts Keiland's to shame.

Found a joint called Catahoula. Has a bar and a patio with TVs. Food's decent, but a bit pricey. Great little game day spot.
They've got most of the Abita brews and a couple on tap. If only we could get a few more fans in there.

Can't go to Paddy's anymore. Last time I was there, some troll named Frank pulled a gun on me.
LSU Bar in Philadelphia?

Just moved up to Philly. Hoping I don't have to trip up to Legends in NYC every weekend to watch the game with other tiger fans.
Any one know a good spot to go?
Already checked the Where to Watch thread on the homepage. No dice there.

Pretty fantastic. Always wondered how much coaches will dish on their former teams to their good friends.

I'll admit to not knowing too much about Chavis except for his legendary mustache, but this is a great read even if you usually hate the human interest stories newspapers put out.

Kelly's Tavern at 3231 Fillmore Street. You'll see an LSU flag in one of the upstairs windows.
I've only been in SF for less than a month, but between the alumni group and kelly's, I'd choose kelly's. Small group, but a good time.

Glad to see you helping out the non-profits. They suffer hugely in these downturns (I used to run one) and are often forgotten about.

Rabid,
Thanks for the welcome. I'll be watching all the games that I can with the group. I'll keep an eye out for you. I'll probably be the only indian guy there wearing a straw hat.
I'll probably check out both venues and see which one works best.
Sucks about the USC fans. We had some too, and they were seemingly cheering every time LSU messed up or Vandy had a big play. Good thing the didn't have Fight On over the speakers...I can't stand hearing it after it was played so much when USC played Texas.

I was talking to a guy in SF who previously lived in San Diego, and he said the LSU group there started going to a bar right when it opened, and in return for helping the bar do so well, the bar keeps a room all decked out in P&G and even has a mini-field painted complete with the eye of the tiger. Any idea where this is?
LSU Bars around the Country

I sometimes find myself traveling on weekends during the fall, but always make it a point to find out where the game is going to be shown. Generally I try to find out if there's a designated LSU bar for the game. Some places (NY, Atlanta, etc) are easier than others, and with LSU's following I almost always find whatever bar I'm in, there's at least a few other tiger fans.
Chicken, or any other admin, is there a way we could get a listings page/thread going with locations LSU (Alum or otherwise) people are going to be for the game in some of the major cities around the country. Or perhaps known "LSU bars?" I looked around the site and didn't find anything like this yet.
I just moved to the Bay Area a couple of days ago, and I went to the Bay Area alumni viewing, which seems to rotate to a new place each week, and it lacked the gathering/intensity of some of the other places I've been. (No sound, no chants, no one playing band recordings) Maybe if we get a dedicated page where it's easy for any tiger fan to figure out where to go, it would help.
