It's never too early in the day to hate those bastards.

They really don't bother me.
I understand the old timers still hating them because that was an intense rivalry at one time.
Tulane is pretty insignificant as a football program, so I guess making general dumb comments about their students and such is all most tiger fans are left with.
As far as an institution, they are kicking arse. The last couple of years they have had something like 5 times the amount of applications that they can take. Plenty of people are dying to go to school there and live it up with that N.O. has to offer these days. It's amazing to me, considering the price they charge for tuition.

I don't hate them but their bullshite policy on selling tickets when we are on the schedule really pisses me off

I don't hate Tulane. There's absolutely no reason to.

Back in the day, when Tulane mattered, there was a lot of hate. It was a good rivalry. But now, especially with so many students from the NO area being friends with Tulane students and with them being a joke/after thought as a competitor, they really don't matter, thus not a lot of hate. They still think they are superior and that's fine...let them live in their delusional little world.

Back when they actually had a fan base, they were very hateable.
Anyone who was around in the early 80's when they beat us twice in football and beat us in the first round of the NIT in hoops can attest to the obnoxiousness of their fans.
I hated them with a passion back then.
But they have no semblance of a real fan base anymore and they just are not competitive anymore in much of anything. The hate is gone for me.

I grew up in BR, with extended family in the NOLA area. As a child, the hatred that Tulane had for LSU was strong. I remember holidays hearing my grandmother and sisters/in-laws going at it. Pure hatred. Tulane despised that LSU was the state school, and got all the press.
The rivalry has died down, but that hatred will take generations to resolve. I still hate em. Not as much as Ole Miss, but I hate em.
Now, ULL is growing up a generation of hatred towards LSU, so it's all good.

Never liked Tulane over the years but I know and like Curris Johnson so the current version of the Greenies are ok in my book. Have never been to a game though. Maybe this year.

Growing up a Tiger fan in the early 70's, teams like tulane & ole miss will forever, no matter how irrelevant they are today, be considered "rivals". It's the teams I grew up watching as LSU's rivals. Of course the tulane "hate" has faded & ole miss will always be ole miss.

As a Alumni of LSU and a Louisiana boy my heart & soul will be forever with LSU. I bleed purple and gold and if there were a cemetery next to LSU where alumni could choose to be buried there I would have my family bury me there where my love, life and soul would be happiest being laid to rest.
After LSU I pull for all Louisiana teams including Tulane, my Dad actually played football there in the late 40's so I can only hate them when LSU plays them, but when they aren't playing LSU then pulling for them just like the rest of the Louisiana schools only seems natural like pulling for your brother in a game that you are not playing in. Next in line would be SEC schools as I pull for them against other conferences as pulling for them is like pulling for a cousin that is playing in a game. So that is it for me LSU #1, then Louisiana schools, then SEC schools. Unfortunately for me I even pull for Bama when we aren't playing them as my mother went to school at Bama. Hey everyone has their crosses in life to bare, mine is my mother went to Bama so I actually root for them when we aren't playing them or there isn't SEC west implications on the line "which lately is all the time."
Sorry for the diatribe bored on a Saturday morning with nothing else to do.

For baseball, you are dead on and fair. I've complained about the way we (Tulane) jack up those prices for the last decade. It is pathetic.
But for the football game in 2007, it was actually LSU (who had control of the prices for the tickets they sold) that jacked up the prices, then laid the blame on TU.
Lets hope that neither school does that for 2015
