Mulligan II: Electric Boogaloo.

Alabama always has a designated Mulligan.

Doesn't matter how many losses Bama has they get in because they are the chosen

If LSU wins out and continues it's progress, I don't see how you keep them out of the playoffs. The SEC champion, west champ and an 11 win team in a new regime's first year. It would be a rags to riches story. VERY unlikely, but would be an instant 30 for 30.
The argument would be the health and growth of the team. UGA would be left out and Bama and LSU would make it. Then LSU would have to beat Bama twice... I've seen that show before.

Bama is automatically in the playoffs until they get two losses.

When you say title game, are you referring to the playoff, or SEC Championship?

Does a 1 loss Bama still go to playoff over SEC Champion?

If you are truly worried about the fate of Bama, then wrong board.
If you are talking about LSU's potential of fitting into the discussion, then worry about what happens next Saturday in Oxford. Remember that Ole Miss plays LSU like LSU plays Bama. If we don't take care of things on defense next week, all is irrelevant.

Troy was bad enough, but let's not forget the second loss was an arse-whoopin' by Miss St ... LSU would have to beat Bama and Georgia by about 28 points each for even a courtesy look. You can argue a young team and injuries all you want, but LSU is playing the rest of the season for pride and best non championship series bowl game available.
Win or lose ... I'm just glad to see them play with attitude again!

Bama almost has to lose three games to not get in. That's why this whole thing sucks, we will have to beat them twice in one season to ever win another NC.

Not if its UGA................

If this was the NCAA Basketball Selection Committee, then I agree. Basketball results in February are what become really important. A lot of that has to do with the development of "one and done" players. Unfortunately, for football, all of that mentality is for not. Until we get a football playoff to about 16 teams, such discussions won't come into play.

I think the best case scenario for LSU is winning out, winning SEC championship, and Auburn beating Bama in the Iron Bowl. Then LSU goes to playoff, bc they won't lock the SEC out of the playoff IMO
Yep. This is pretty much the only way LSU gets in assuming we run the table. It would be nice just to be in the conversation, however.

You have truly jumped the shark here bud.

SEC Championship game.

No. What will the value be of winning the SEC if the loser makes the playoffs and the winner does not?
The SEC will not let this happen.
NS will of course be on every sports show blowing the hosts and making his case that BAMA should be in the playoffs.

Ok. Then let me ask this: how does the playoff selecting a 1-loss Alabama, who did not win the West or SEC, make the SEC championship shite?
The SEC doesn't choose who to send, the CFP Committee does.
Playing devil's advocate here, if that scenario plays out, it does two things. First, it proves the committee is full of shite in regard to the importance of playing a conference championship game. Second, it shows that they put more emphasis on the body of work than one or two games.
If Alabama were to lose to LSU, and LSU wins the west and the SEC title, Alabama, to me, has nothing to stand on to get into the playoff.
That being said, this season is setting up like a combination of 2007 and 2011, especially if a 2-loss LSU gets in as SEC Champion. Alabama, to this point, has seperated itself from the pack. But if LSU somehow beats them, and wins the SEC, what a mess that would be.
Let's say you have this at the end of the season:
12-1 Penn State (assuming they pick up a loss): Big Ten Champ
12-1 Oklahoma: Big 12 Champ
12-1 Clemson: ACC Champ
12-1 Georgia: SEC East Champ
11-2 LSU: SEC Champ (w/win over Alabama)
11-1 Alabama: best win- Auburn
Who gets in? How do you put Alabama in over any of those teams? Can't say Florida State is their best win, because we don't really know what FSU looked like against everyone else with Francois, but we do know they look terrible without him. Did that one player make that much of a difference? So if Auburn is their best win, and Auburn is a 3-loss team, does Alabama deserve to be in? How do you leave out one of those other Conference Champions?
