doesnt deserve alleva being a spineless tool letting slive push LSU around.
God I am so sick of these comments. What do you want Alleva to do? He can bitch to the commissioner and bitch at the bowls if he wants...nothing that he said or that anyone says would have changed how today turned out.
Are you privy to all the behind the scenes activities surrounding this process? LINK me to something that proves that Alleva did nothing and said nothing. It wouldn't have mattered.
It may suck to some, but I seriously doubt that the SEC sees sending a team to a long-standing bowl-game as a "slight". If everyone else in the league was upset with their bowl game, then that would be one thing. Just because LSU isn't happy...or should I say "whiny bitch LSU fan" is not happy, why should the league change everything else?

Its not an instance taken in isolation. Its a consistent slighting to LSU whether its bowl selection, scheduling etc. We take a back seat to everyone else and instead of getting in the regional and national media to talk about it like spurrier and others Alleva sends an email to LSU fans to shut up and take it.

in 2012 the SEC is much better than it was in 2008.

If we would stop playing down to pitiful opponent's levels, we may get better. I would not want LSU in a bowl either since they seem to muddle through against weak opponents and get up for great opponents. They were just not exciting this year, other than the Alabama game.

Well, we didn't get slighted in 2006 when we got to go to the Sugar when the SECCG loser didn't.
We didn't get slighted in 2007 when we were the 2-loss team picked to go to the BCSNCG.
We didn't get slighted in 2009 when we got the Cap One invite.
We didn't get slighted in 2010 when we went to the Cotton Bowl.
Oh, and that 2005 matchup in the Peach was by far the best one. I remember getting so pumped about that. They treated us right that year. Get over it.

10 wins doesn't mean what it used to. I think it's time people accept this.
Of course you would say this, Les Miles has 10 wins. You have to find a way to belittle anything Les Miles does. The fact that in 2012 there are a) 2 more teams in the SEC and b) 6 teams with 10 wins and in 2008 there were only 2 SEC teams with 10 wins seems to have escaped you.

LSU needs to ditch the SEC- it's bullshite.
No, LSU just needs to learn how to win a fricking game when they thoroughly outplay the opponent and not throw it away with stupid arse fakes, missed FGs and a prevent defense. We got the shite bowl we deserve. Until we can play to our potential and stop throwing national championships out the fricking window like a burnt-out cigarette, we will be in this kind of shite.
Two years in a row with the best team in the country and we wind up without a god-damned thing to show for it. frick this.
I guess the goood news is that next year's Piss Bowl championship will cost us another $750k. Great.

Yet somehow its always LSU. Oh
This weakens your case. Bad way to start your rant.
We ha one loss in 03 and two losses in 07. I don't think we got screwed those years.

Link this email.
Alleva made a big push at the SEC meetings. Unfortunately he can only get USCe and A&M on his side. The "lesser" teams like OM, MSU, VAndy and UK don't care as long as they get to play each other, they will go along with Bama, UGA, UT and AU. During the meetings he made the circuits on BR media. The SEC media started ripping him for not wanting to play Florida. Again, what do you want him to do.

That's because there were fewer teams in the SEC with the same record. Years vary. 2006 we went 10-2 finished top 5 and went to Sugar Bowl, 2010 we were 10-2 top 10 and went to Cotton. This year its CFA.

Look at next year, how the SEC will frick LSU.
LSU's east opponents? Fla and UGA
Bama's east opponents? Tenn and Kentucky
Sound fair??
How about in 2011, when LSU has the greatest regular season in CFB history they get rewarded with a rematch with Bama, who LSU beat in their own house. Think that LSU would have been granted a rematch this year if the situation was reversed???
Anyone??
Wake the frick up people, the SEC is NOT helping LSU. If you want to compete for National Titles, they need a level playing field. The one they are playing on currently HEAVILY favors Alabama.

One fourth of college football will reach 10 wins this season. Is that our goal now: simply be in the top 25%? If so...
yay

Big XII is looking pretty good.
Look at alumni bases. Houston TX big time LSU.
Birmingham/atl?? Not so much.
Better high school recruiting territory? It doesn't get any better than Texas my brother.
If LSU stays in SEC, they will have to fight an uphill battle against Alabama that even if they win (see 2011) they still lose.
LSU needs to look out for number one, and if you think that the SEC is doing that for LSU, then you don't know which bowl a 10-2 LSU bcs bowl caliber team is playing in.
How would LSU have done in the Big XII this year? That's what I thought.

Once again. We will not be at 10 wins. You continue to try to minimize the accomplishments of this team yet we will in all likelihood reach 11 wins just as Les has done every single time he has reached double digit wins. Now what are the %s of reaching 11 wins?
10 wins was the goal of an 11 game season+bowl. We now have a 12 game season+ a bowl so 11 wins is obviously the next benchmark.

And go to what conference?
I would rather be in the chicken bowl than in the capital one bowl and play on that shitty field and in shitty stadium at noon. The cotton would have been the best option but that did not happen because of bullshite.
Regardless, we got a top 15 match up with Clemson and our bowl will be looked upon on as one of the top match-ups given that most other bowls match-ups suck.

LSU and Arkansas should at least gauge the interest of the Big 12 in joining the conference. I'd guess the Big 12 would fall all over itself to get LSU and Arkansas. It's high time that LSU sends a message to those Bama loving SEC officials in Birmingham that they are done getting hosed by the refs, the scheduling, and the bowls year after year.

The Capone is a New Year's Day bowl.
The chicfila is not. Bottom line is this LSU team is a BCS calibre team and got shafted BY THE SEC- the bowls are obligated to conf tie ins, the conferences call the shots on these.
Everyone though LSU would contend this year. Did anyone think Clemson would???
Anyone???
Then spare me the great matchup shite. It's not a good matchup, it fricking sucks. Clemson is a joke, and LSU has been a top 5 football program for over 10 years now.
