re: Does 104.5 in BR think we're all degenerate gamblers?

I guess you don’t like ESPN CollegeGame Day and every NFL pre-game show since they all do betting picks. It’s a massive industry if it wasn’t worth the money they wouldn’t do it. Ott is dialed in and does one of the best shows. Sorry you miss those idiots from the national radio shows. Maybe we can get Finebaum back so he can promote Alabama in Baton Rouge.

Yep he and his ilk are pathetic. Can’t believe it got to this point. Terrible programming decisions being made.

What amount of time do those shows give to their "Vegas guy?". 5 minutes out of the hour?
It dominates a lot of 104.5 now, especially on Fridays. And, yes, it does cause me to turn it off.

Glad I’m not the only one tired of it.

I like the format. You don't have to be a gambler to enjoy it. Short, quality takes on multiple games and players. Plus, thankfully not caller driven. And no politics. Plus its fun.
Would you rather listen to an hour on LeBron James, Kyrie Irving or Tom Brady? Or how about 10 callers in a row praising Nick Saban or calling out Jerry Jones? That's what you get on these national shows and most local shows for that matter.
I'm sure the guys complaining here liked Buddy D.
Jimmy and Charles are the most knowledgeable sports guys and always have the best sports shows.

It would be nice if guys who think gambling is the coolest thing ever would understand that nobody outside of their gambling circle gives a shite.
People care less about your gambling picks than they do about your fantasy football roster.

Us old time New Orleans folks remember Buddy D doing 70's shows showing the weekend's Saints, LSU and Tulane highlites then following them with the first morning lines for next week's games.
The local NO sports broadcasts used to feature Fairgrounds results, especially Hap and Jimmy Steele.

It's a fools game, for anyone who bets real money consistently.

If you're getting your tips and analysis from the Little Otter, you're not a sharp either.
Those shows aren't on the air to make more winners in the audience. It's always the losers who pay the freight.
