I could see Paul retiring. I don’t think there’s any way Woodie fires him though.

Depends entirely on how the season ends. It's next to impossible to guess considering there are two weekends of regular season, the SEC tournament and at least a regional left to play. Another early exit at the sub-regional stage and I'll be about finished with Mainieri. Whether or not that means Woodward makes a move is anyone's guess.

CPM has two yrs before anything will be done. He will be given a pass this yr. Woodward will ask the coach what he needs to return to CWS. Give CPM what he ask for which will be stay the course. After next yr if same result assist change will be forced. After that second season With same result as this ur will be asked to retire or be fired.

Yeah the more I think about it the more I'm of the opinion that barring a total crash and burn the next two weekends and awful showing in postseason play I'm not sure I see Woodward coming in and giving Mainieri the ax right away. I'd say that another early postseason exit would and should get his seat piping hot going into next year, though and next year would be an "Omaha or GTFO" kind of season.

Why would you fire the baseball coach and keep the women's basketball coach?

There is absolutely no way Scott W fires CPM no matter what happens wins-wise for the remainder of this season.
