How many losses do you think LSU would have had if your wishes had come true? Would they have even been bowl eligible?

Playing someone like USC or TT is a lot different than scheduling some middle of the road team from a BCS conf. How about a game against Cal, or maybe Wisc, or Rutgers, or Miami, or Neb? I'm not saying you need a Top 5 matchup in Sept, but at least give the fans *something* to cheer about. And for the record, no if you can't win your games against good competition, why should you go to a bowl?

about the only way attendance could improve is if LSU start's allowing 2 tickets per seat and we can sit on each other's laps.

I think this happens in my section already.

Its to let season ticket holders a chance to let their friends see LSU play at night, and win. Except Troy, oh, we won that one did'nt we. I believe theres room for a little better talent to schedule out there. We should play one La. team a year. Rotate em. Tired of Tulane every year, and I think the football program is too. When are we gonna play McNeese, the other football school? Lake Charles would get a kick out of that. Home game against LSU.

So you would rather have seen LSU get creamed during the regular season by USC

No, I would like to see the Tigers stomp on the Trojans or any other team. I hope the team has more balls than you.

Also I am not just asking for a game with USCw, just some better competition at home games. I think it would have a better draw.

if the home games were played against better opposition. The only 'good' teams this year at home will be Florida and Auburn. The out of conference home games are not against 'good' teams.

To be honest, I like the fact that there are a few 'cupcakes' on the home schedule each year. I bring about ten of us (kids and nephews) to these games each year. Try to pay for 'bama or Fla tickets each year for ten, yeah right. We get to tailgate with my sister, cousins, etc. and also get to watch our beloved tigers kick some butt (Troy scared me though this past year, haha, even though Troy is my alma mater).

Yeah, I realize these games don't help the strength of schedule argument, but if LSU takes care of business in the SEC, then it doesn't matter after all.

No, but USC certainly thinks this way. They tend to schedule these "big matchups" 3-4 years out, and their "tough" opponents are in the upper part of the top 25.

I think USC does this because the Pac-10 is such a weak arse conference they need something to boost their SOS.

Sellouts for the last 5 years straight. What improvements are you referring to?

The 03 and 07 BCS stats would disagree with this statement.

USC is a hell of a lot different than TT. Although I would like to see a middle of the road schools, but how different is a bad-to-middle of the road team from a BCS conference than a middle-to-good team from a non bcs conference?

Appalacian State and Troy were ranked higher by Sagarin than the following schools:
- Colorado
- Kansas State
- Purdue
- Minnesota
- UCLA
- Texas A&M
- Syracuse

Now ask yourself this: Would any of these schools schedule LSU or would they rather schedule a I-AA school and have a better shot at a bowl game. Scheduling is a 2 way street.

2007 - no Virginia Tech on the schedule would have resulted in no national championship. only the money argument works for me here. the we can't play more good teams blah blah arkansas, ole miss, miss st, and south carolina makes for too tough of a schedule argument holds no water.

Agree with you that without VT we don't get an invite, but it's awfully convenient how you excluded Florida, Auburn, and Alabama and one of the teams you mention above is always difficult they just rotate from year to year.

Tell Alleva to put someone else, or hire somebody new, with better negotiating skills to put the schedules together.....
