Jarrett Lee
Every time I hear his name I think of that Troy game.

Angels in the outfield
There is a picture of him after that game that is so good but I can’t find it anywhere anymore.
His helmet is off as he walks off the field and he is running his hand through his hair and looking right into the camera with this dazed smirk on his face like WTF just happened. It was so perfect
This is the best I could find, shows the empty stands as Lafell pulls in the game winning TD

Both those QB's were one dimensional making it easier for defenses to defend. Lee could have and should have been better than he was but he was always backseat in the mind of Les. Tragic
That 2011 offense was second best ever.

Without Jarrett Lee, we would've never made it through the 2011 regular season undefeated.
The same was true of Jefferson.
Lee and Jefferson's numbers are remarkably similar in 2011. Lee was obviously the better passer, with Jefferson being clearly more mobile and a much better runner.
I don't think that was correct.

Miles should've put Lee in for at least a series or two in the 2012 NC game, just to see if he might be able to spark something
I don't really get this.
Lee vs Bama at LSU
24 for 58 (41.4%), 316 yards, 1 TD, 7 INTs.(1 pick six)
Lee in the game earlier that season
3 for 7 (42.9%), 24 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs
Jefferson coming into the NC game
26 for 40 (65.0%), 322 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Even post that game
37 for 57(64.9%), 375 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
Lee threw as many TDs to Alabama as he did to LSU. They were in his head; he had no business in that game.

t's RP's fault honestly. It was pre-transfer portal era. 2008 was supposed to be RP's year as the starter and perhaps 2009 as well. Him being kicked off the team threw the entire QB succession into disarray in an era where you couldn't just portal in a replacement.
This, and the spiral continued all the way until Burrow transferred in and gave us some stability. A lot of those teams were loaded outside of qb play.

I know the exact photo you are referring to. He is walking off the field with Les and he’s rubbing his forehead and had that look on his face. If I am not mistaken it was in the advocate the next morning. There was a lot of hype surrounding him coming out of TX in his recruitment, albeit he did not totally live up to it but also did not totally do the opposite aka Brandon Harris.
