I believe we will go undefeated, become SEC champions, and then win the National Championship.

This is it. This year.

Just like every year.. they'll magically be healthy by the time LSU rolls around. It'll coincide with a major injury or two caused during the Alabama game. I wish we could play Arkansas early in the season where they suck arse..

Actually I think it is an advantage to play them late in the season. Consider that over time the number of injuries will be roughly equal. For the time being, we are out recruiting them and have the deeper roster giving us the advantage late in the season. Depth means much less early in the season when teams havent played enough games to incur many injuries. As the season goes along the teams with the deepest rosters should gain an increasing advantage.

We definitely CAN go undefeated this year. We have the script in front of us, and it's played out each game, as long as we remain healthy enough:

As long as we are close, we can keep running and playing field position. Ware is physical, and Ford is good enough to buy him the rest to be fresh at the end- fresher than the other defense.

Beckham is becoming the sure-handed receiver we need in this offense. Randle, despite his drops, guarantees that Beckham will never be double-teamed.

Wing and the punt coverage can keep the field in our favor.

Our defense is good enough, and deep enough, to keep that plan from changing. We should be able to out-smashmouth every other team we play, and that includes Bama. Richardson may be better than Ware at the beginning of the game, but I don't believe they have the equal of Ford. Thus, Ware will be the more effective of the starting RBs late, and that is when we win. In contrast, by preparing to play Oregon's fast pace, we have enough depth on defense to not break down late.

All of this depends on Lee not making the killer mistake, and he's playing like that thus far. He's been great on play-action.

We CAN beat everyone this year. Whether we do or not, it's great to see this team.

I believe this team can do it! LSU just made it through the toughest Sept. schedule I have ever seen. Like someone said earlier, we had an off day on D vs WV giving up 500 yards and an off day against Miss. State but we still won those games. If LSU plays like they can we will be undefeated going into the Bama game and if you think the players were fired up to play Oregon? Wait till they play Bama at their place.. If we get out of there with a W, I really think we make it all the way because the only other test would be Arky! And they beat us last year at their place and kept us from a BCS bowl game! That would be extra motivation for the Tigers as well...

Then theres the SEC championship game which is either S. Carolina or FL and I don't think either is better than us this year. We just have to take it one game at a time...

The BYE week before the Bama game is a huge advantage for us too.

Yeah - I think they can but I am not counting on it. Undefeated is less important than holding the crystal ball in January.

At the end of this season I will bump this thread and we'll see who is wrong. You continue to drink Kool-aid and believe Miles will do something he's never come close to before. I will continue to believe he is not capable until he proves me wrong, which he never will. If that guy couldn't lose fewer than 2 games with the 2006 AND 2007 teams he never will.

I believe it as far as the talent and character of the team being good enough to do it, but mindful of the strong competition ahead.

I dont expect an easy win, but I do feel this LSU team will come out on top. I have this cinderella story thing in my head. I cant believe people still disrespect you after the wins you posted, in the past two, three years. This is a wicked vicious hungry tiger team. I just sense that you all will refuse to loose... now it could be cause I HATE bama with a passion, but... I so want a LSU NC... tonight.
