Do you have empathy for any other SEC School?

in opposition to the hate thread, do you ever feel compassion for fans of another school? I have always had a place in my heart for Miss State and their fans

they seem like good people that made a bad team/school decision fwiw

if we split football the last 20 years (opposed to owning them), this thread would not exist

Why, it's a good agreement. They bring up the conference GPA and in return get to share in conference profits. I don't feel bad for them.

Maybe I misunderstood your post but if you're talking about opportunities other than athletics, MSU students have quite a lot going for them. If you're talking about athletics, football would be the only sport their students should be overly excited about b/c of last year's bowl win and this year's recruiting class. Even with that, their team still needs to prove it on the field this upcoming season.

My husband works with a MSU fan, and they really are quite proud of the whole "cow bell" thing...

actually said, "Don't hate us for that... It's ALL WE HAVE!!"

Oh, in that case, they definitely have some good things going for them. They're no different than any other college kid though. They can get a good college education, watch a decent athletic program while in school, get a good job upon graduation, etc. I have some friends who I'm in school with now who graduated from MSU and got a great education. They really enjoyed MSU and seem to have gotten every bit the education that I got from a different in state school. So, if that's what you were asking I would say they have some good things going for them.

Yep. I'm with ya on State. Know several good people that went there. Salt of the earth really. Country folks. At least as worried about their corn feeders as their football team. I can relate to some of that.

Also, the Tombigbee, just a few miles away, is a fine river. You can ski on it. I think it has some fish. I'm reaching.
