I don't think I have ever gotten an autograph from an LSU football player, although my kids have gotten many over the years.

When I was at LSU a group of us went to the regional finals in Atlanta. We beat the Sam Bowie lead Kentucky team to advance to the Final Four. After the game we went down to court and I had several of the players and Dale Brown autograph my ticket stub.

If it is an autograph session, who cares? I have bought signed items at memorabilia stores (Dietzel, Cannon, Rabb, and Johnny Robinson together). I'm sure some of you have bought items at TAF events. So, if you are going to pay for them, why not get them signed for free for your man cave/sports room? Restaurants have them. T.J. Ribs has tons of college signed items. Do you enjoy viewing it when you eat there? I do. Who do you think acquired those items?

That being said, I don't wait after games to get items signed unless my son wants to do it. We have only done it once when he was 7 or 8 and had fun getting his football signed. The guys were really nice to him.

My wife coordinated me meeting Les Miles, took a pic with him, and she had him sign the frame our pic now resides in.

Rush Limbaugh sent a signed picture addressed to my wife and I, through a mutual friend (friend of Rush and my family).

My wife taught Mikie Mahtook, and she got him to sign a national championship poster for my son, which eventually made its way to my office.

And, someone gave me a Drew Brees autographed picture he bought at a charity auction, b/c he knew I was a Saints fan.

A colleague gave me some signed baseballs... Warren Morris, Todd Walker, Paul.

Sooo, long story, short... I haven't really sought out autographs, nor stalked anyone, but I kinda like them, now that I have them. They are great conversation pieces in my office.

I would call you out to your face. What would you do if I did?

Are you serious. Absolutely not. Autographs (all types - not just athletes) are stupid.

I have in the past....not stalking or anything. Kinda what the other poster said.

I do have a US Open hat signed by Nicklaus, Palmer, Trevino, Watson, and Player all on the bill.

Anybody who plays golf and wants to claim this is childish/silly/stupid is a lying biotch!

I once borrowed way too much money just to get an ex-LSU player's autograph. It's one of my prized possessions. I don't care who thinks it's childish. It was worth it to me.
