No.

what elite back requires "packages". He is an all around elite back. A defense shouldnt dictate his playing time. He is J. Hill, McGee, Shyrone Carey, Toefield, and D. Davis in one package. Miles should think before he says stupid shite like this. Nobody believes that crap

Hell no. But I'm glad he didn't play much and avoided injury in that dumpster fire of a game.
The offensive playcalling, scheme and excuses are all lame. We look like a lower level MAC team on offense.

LSU needs to hire an offense coach! Weather Cam or Les is calling plays, neither is worth a shite! For instant in the Bama game, even the Taliban knows we can't pass & in over time we throw the ball all 4 downs.

Fournette has lacked the elusiveness a lot of us expected. Sure, he is a powerful back but he has yet to break a long gain for a touchdown. He just doesn't pick his holes very well and that's why there are times he will be on the sidelines. Until he can demonstrate his superior talents, he's not going to get 25 carries a game. In his defense, if LSU had more of an open offense, Fournette would have had more chances to break one. LSU problem is NOT running Fournette 20-25 times a game, but it stems from a lack of offensive imagination.

How does the best running back on the team not available for every play?
This. How many times have we heard this type of lame excuse from Miles about why a certain player doesn't play? I seem to recall him saying something similar when Charles Scott vanished in the 2nd half of the 2007 Kentucky game after running wild in the first half.
If the defense adapts to plays featuring a certain player then we need to adjust the play calling, not bench the player. Our coaching staff is incapable of making adjustments.

Personally, I think Miles is mailing it in.
It wouldn't surprise me if, in the postgame presser Thanksgiving night, he announces his retirement. The bowl game will be his final game as LSU's coach.
Not necessarily saying this WILL happen. But his postgame demeanor combined with the "letter to BR" is looking awfully suspicious.
To put it succinctly: I've seen guys that have been thru a lot and just don't give a shite anymore. Miles has that look right now.

The open letter to BR he wrote before the season. Surely you've heard about it.

This is an interesting take, but may have legs. Miles is a devoted family man and may just want to follow his kids as they pursue their athletic endeavors. His daughter is a swimmer at Texas and his older son will either pursue college football or baseball. The younger son plays
H. S. football. So this might be a possibility.

This is such a non-issue. Les has played LF plenty this year, and LF wouldn't have made a difference. This is the very least of the problems on offense

I for one am glad he didn't play. Our OL was a clusterfrick because of injuries and I would rather Fournette not getting hurt. It also seems to me that the play of the OL in the Arky game is not being considered enough in evaluating this game. They were getting pushed around most of the game.

ts not like Fournette was really running well
How could he when there was nowhere to run due to the predictability of the LSU offense?

Do you accept Miles' Reasoning about Fournette?
Um, it was a lie.
Now, it may have been an acceptable lie. Maybe Fournette mouthed off? Maybe he was dinged. Maybe Miles just didn't think he was running hard. I've no idea.
But the "reason" was quite obviously hokum.

Guess I missed it, or just don't remember. I live in Florida, so TD is my pipeline for crap like that.
