Or do we lose and PM looks worse?

I hope so. The thing that has been so maddening this year is that this team has the talent to hang with and beat anyone. They just haven't been able to hit with runners in scoring position or close out games. They have the talent to sweep the series this weekend.

We have a real chance to take this weekend’s series. We have a chance next weekend too. In order to avoid a major catastrophe , we need to take this weekend’s. 1-2 or 0-3 against Kentucky will exacerbate the existing confidence issues.

Margin of error even with good teams are very small on sec weekends no matter who you play

Unfortunately this team doesn't do enough to pull those games out

Kentucky is beatable, sweepable perhaps, and a great opportunity to get the ball moving in the right direction. I want to believe, but one side of me sees a road series as another buzzsaw. Geaux Tigers!

I would be very surprised if we got swept. I would not be surprised by any other result, though an LSU sweep seems crazy right now.

Not if we keep hitting like we've been hitting against SEC pitching.

What sucks is players usually play themselves into the lineup, not enough have been consistent enough for PM to count on them
Just have too many young guys not ready for sec and some that are great defensively but might not ever hit
The bullpen has been hit or miss as well, starters have been good enough but never know what you get when you turn the game over
At this point I would consider starting Fontenot sunday because you can't even get games to him - wasting a player that will be drafted based on stuff alone

LSU sweeps this weekend ! I truly believe this !

This LSU team is better than 1-8 . Time to get the breaks and the bats come alive. Everyone will be drinking the koolaide.

What is in all likelihood best for the future of the program?

If I thought this team could turn it around and make it to Omaha, I MIGHT hope to win this series.

Long term, we need PM gone. Therefore LSU needs to get swept.

Hate to say it.

This has been the worse. If we're not up at least a couple runs when we turn it over to the pen, you midas well turn it off. Thing is even if our starter is playing lights out, we have no offense. It's so miserable watching a game where were down 2, going to a reliver and pretty much knowing it's over
