Yes. They did not win the BCS championship in 03 but still stake claim.

USC had their 2004 national championship vacated.
If they were to give LSU their AP trophy from 2003, I hope LSU would use it as a door stop to the men's bathroom in Coates Hall.
That pretty much sums up how LSU fans feel abot USC.

The pettiness toward Reggie is pathetic. And yes, I hated USC bc of the media love, but it is time to let the insecurities go. Some of you guys have a real character flaw here:

I haven't liked USC since I started watching college football as a child, but half of the shite that is posted about them is so comical that I actually find myself rooting for them from time to time.

Yes. And I always will. It is a matter of honor. Rather than accepting the decision of the BCS, they deliberately attempted to undermine it. And now the AP will not even vacate the "championship" they awarded to them.

The BCS system at the time was voted for almost unanimously.... including fUSC. Maybe 6 schools were not in favor.

Carroll is a whiny complaining d-bag. He was long before he went to fUSC and always will be.
And my hatred for fUSC goes way back to when the refs gave them the NC in '79 when White fumbled on the 3 but the refs said he crossed the goal before the fumble.
Even at normal speed it was clear he fumbled Looong before the goal.
No team got more "gifts" from the refs than fUSC except for maybe the Celtics during the 80's
