I like Chad but I don't think he's done anything this year that would suggest he's ready for the NFL.

I agree with the sentiment, but not the absolutes. He's shown enough at times for the NFL, but he's not the best tackler, getting caught in poor angles at times, and is out of position too much - I'm not the coach to confirm that however.

Chad Jones has probably regressed more than any other player on the team the last couple of years

The amount of speed he has lost is amazing

He has went from running down D-Mac from behind his freshmen year to getting outrun by linebackers this year

Keiland Williams is right there for getting too big/losing speed and agility too. After his Sophomore year he never looked the same.

It would be to baseball, not football. I always thought Chad was going to be the next Laron Landry, if not better. He's good, but he's nowhere close to #30.

Why would the NFL want him? He is an average at best safety. He has done nothing this year or ever on the football field to be a top draft pick. He sacked Wilson at bama and other than that he hasn't lived up to the hype. Quit worshipping the guy.

If he plays football again then I believe he might take over Coleman's Spot next year with Loston playing FS..

Chad Jones is not a NFL player. Period. Get over the dreadlocks and the marginal baseball pitching thing and all the rest of the LSU-induced hype. He is not a NFL player.

Good for him - hope he is and I wish him nothing but the best. I'll also be astonished if he ever walks on a single blade of grass on a major league field during a regular season game as a player.
