Listening to media, they feel like Bama is now the new king of the west and Ole Miss is the "right now team." They refer to us as if our program is on the decline. Last week Bill Curry was on the radio in Atlanta and he said Bama has too much fo LSU to compete with and are on a different level. Has anyone been paying attention to the last three years of recruiting? It's ticking me off.

Anyone can beat anyone in the SEC if one team comes to play and the other team has lackluster execution. We are one of the better teams in the SEC and we are loaded with talent so, hell yea, we have a very good shot at beating bama.

Curry is just hoping Bama fans might like him again someday...

Personally I don't think we can speculate on LSU-Bama until 3-4 games into the season, too many unknowns at this point.

Saban always wins the BCSNC in his 4th year...This being his 3rd year, will be a huge letdown for Bama fans.

Curry is drowning in Crimson Kool-Aid and seems to have falling into the delusional Bama crowd who think this is the 70's when Bear Bryant could keep as many recruits as he wanted and pay them what he wanted to keep them. Bama is good but LSU has caught up and Bama will never dominate the SEC the way it did back then. I HATE BAMA

We should probably save ourselves some trouble and just concede the Florida, UGA and Bama games. If we focus on the others, and win all of them except Ole Miss, that's still an improvement of one game over last year, isn't it?

Why do you allow shite like that to tick you off? Games are played on the field, and the outcomes are not based on what comes out of the mouths of the alleged "experts".

I can't believe some of you let people like Bill Curry, Lou Holtz, Kirk Herbstreit, Paul Finebaum and Glen Guilbeau to ruin your day...

I saw on ESPNU yesterday that Bama returns 9 on defense, but only 4 on offense. That coupled with a new QB makes me wonder how they are favored.

Q:"Do we have a realistic shot to beat Bama?"

But doesn't he also always win the SECCG in his second year...especially against a team that he shouldn't beat (LSU/TN 2001...Bama/UF 2008)? What happened there? I think he's slipping.

That's your first mistake right there. The media has a very short term memory.

Don't go by last years loss. Problem fixed! Home field advantage will be in their favor but I still like LSU in this one.

I don't understand how programs with untested QBs like Ga. and Ala, can be put up so high. I know ours is no veteran sr, but come on. Plus Alabama offensive line is inexperienced.

its the saban effect. the media has such a woody for this guy- you would think hes never lost a game in his life. i remember unthinkable loses in his 5 years @ LSU. hes had some bad ones already at bama. for whatever reason, people just cant remember his loses. its all good though- its why we play the games. i kinda like the way LSU has flown under the radar all off season.

Yeah. I'm leaving Iraq in about 10 days. I'll be home in about 3 weeks.

Surprised he could find his way to the radio station for interview. First class crack head.
