Also Waddle really didn’t do any damage to us last year in the receiving game. Honestly I think he is overrated as a true receiver but he is a bad man in the return game. Please don’t kick to that m effer under any circumstances.

does the progression of Ricks play a part in who covers who?
I don't think Ricks can run with either of those guys. Maybe he can out physical them the way Fulton did, but it will probably take a year of college ball before he masters that.

I can't remember from the last time Bo was our DC, will he sometimes let his best corner shadow a particular receiver, or does he just have them play a side and stay there?

One of the long td’s Stingley gave up he was clearly not ready and looking at the sideline when the ball was snapped and Smith got the jump, the other one late in the game he just got beat.
Are you under the impression it was just two plays? Stingley was mauled by Smith for over 200 yards. He gave up a third bomb down the sideline and two deep (at least 15 yards) routes.
Smith is a great receiver. It's no disgrace to lose to that guy.

Honestly I only remember 2 long ones over Stingley, but I know he did have over 200 yards so I’m sure you’re right. It’s true Smith is a good receiver but Stingley can absolutely play better on him than he did last year, he held down Ceedee Lamb and Tee Higgins and both of those guys are better than Smith

Flott is covering Smith. Traitor vs traitor.

Who cares? No one can cover Chase, so it won't matter.

Yea one one big play late in the 4th quarter. The trick play does not count.

take the trick play out (which I agree you should), and dude still had 6 catches for about 150 and a TD. that's called getting toasted

I'm pretty sure one of the long plays Stingley was expecting help over the top.
I'm not worried about Stingley covering anyone, he covers the nations best WR everyday in practice, he knows what to do.

Gonna be on Smith seeing as he will be the number 1 guy on bamas team. Expect him to roll around the field and cover Smith exclusively for the most part. He will see some plays opposite other guys but most of his time will be spent guarding smith

Gonna need to give some help to one of our corners. Smith ate his lunch last year repeatedly. Waddle will be a tough one too

Both. At the same goddamn time. They’ll never know what hit em.

That's on the coaches. Wtf would they have him on an island in that situation? Dumbest defensive call ever in that situation. Luckily it didn't cost is any

I doubt he has to shadow either one. We have Flott on the other side as well and they have a QB that doesn’t scare anyone.
