Do you understand how elementary physics work? Based on the above post I’d say no

Then you comparing the same situations.

I've given you enough attention. You disagree, fine.... my opinion is they made the right call.

Excuse me? You think that’s him getting up?

That’s the runner extending his arms after making illegal contact with the catcher. All avoidable if he slides.

That is the runner trying to get to plate after the collision. You can’t be real.

Trea turner, the best slider in baseball, at the same place in the field looking identical to the Oregon player

Both are falling to their arse with their knee up as they approach the batters box. That’s exactly when and how you slide into hone

Also wild where that mlb guy is fielding the ball eh?

When he landed on his knees and fell forward into the catcher. No need for a lung or thrown into the catcher.... his body dis that for him.

Bye!!

If he took his head off sure throw him out. But if you look at this and think he maliciously made contact than you are really really soft. Or just trying to argue a point that you made that you won’t change.

Malicious

quote:

characterized by malice; intending or intended to do harm.

I refuse to believe slackster thinks that actually happened

The dude went in completely timid at the end

Pride trying to argue this is a legitimate slide attempt is fricking hilarious man. How bored are you?

Runner fricked up. Had he actually slid before the batters box like Trae then he would have been fine. By rule his leg and buttocks must be on the ground before the contact with the catcher, and that was clearly not the case here.

This isn’t judgement anymore, it’s factual.

Whenever you hit a 200lb human being while sliding your momentum will stop at your legs hitting them and you will come up. Kinda what happens when someone is in front of the plate and you slide into them

You bolded the wrong part here let me help you

quote:

Note 6: The catcher, without the ball in his possession, has no right to block the pathway of the runner attempting to score. The base line belongs to the runner and the catcher should be there only when he is fielding the ball or when he already has the ball in his hand.

The catcher was obviously attempting to field the ball. That is literally all that matters. It doesn’t matter if he ran up to the ball or if he had been camped there for 5 minutes. The fielder was attempting to field the ball therefore he had the rights to that spot.

Runner could have easily taken half a step to the side and slide around the catcher. He didn’t. So he’s out. It’s a really simple rule that should’ve have been called on the field.

I can’t imagine looking at this picture of a guy starting a slide and the baseball this far behind a catcher and saying the batter should be out Forget obstruction or not, imagine seeing this and arguing, yes, I think the runner should be called out here

That’s the worst “slide attempt” I’ve ever seen. Runner had all the time in the world to go around the catcher. He knew what he was doing.

Check this out slack

Looks familiar right? Look, this guy also slid into the catcher. And as he hits him his body goes forward. Welcome to physics

Guess what the call was?

The runner is directly over the plate and still not one part of his body has yet to make contact with the ground.

Yes or no, you believe 100% that is a man with malicious intent to injure?
