Do teams even make 62% from 3 point range, in practice?

I know Bama is a great 3 point team, but this can't be normal.

No it’s not normal

BUT we have left shooters wide arse open every single game. This is what a good shooting team will do to us if we continue

This is a poor 3pt defending team, but Bama is definitely playing above their heads tonight.

When nobody is in your face it is basically practice.

But even in practice, I don't feel like 62% is legit.

We actually haven't play that bad on defense. They're just dropping dimes

Alabama started out very hot. When a team gets down 20 to start a game, it’s demoralizing. Not easy to regain focus. Bama was hitting contested shots that were high difficulty.

But... what 90% of the fricking morons on this board will say is:
-Wade Sucks
- Wade can’t coach
- Wade is overrated.

That was kinda my point.

Of the big 3 sports, basketball I know the least about, but even this seems like a rare, historic night for Bama. And not something LSU could do much about.

Is the perimeter defense perfect? Not even close. But Alabama is not 30 points better than LSU.

I just find it laughable people are silent until LSU loses. Even Oats, Alabama’s coach, said he’s never seen anything like Alabama’s shooting tonight. It happens.

You would hope that this lights a fire and they come out with their hair on fire on Saturday against Kentucky.

They hit 23 3s tonight breaking there record of 22 3s last year. Shooting 3s is all bama does, yet we can’t get in guys faces on the perimeter.

Well at least now we have plenty of film on how to improve our perimeter defense.

The film from this game is barely useful for teaching, as Alabama just completely went outside the chart. This film is useful only as a white hot coal of rage for the next matchup.

Sometimes

It’s why Wade thinks Hyatt will shoot 40% from 3 every offseason

Agreed that this should be a huge motivator for the team!

I realize Alabama shot a ridiculous clip, but there had to be some tendencies that they were exploiting too. I think the Alabama coach said as much after the game.

Bama was cheating. Most of the 3pt shots had their foot on the line, Refs gave the game away, move the SEC office to New Orleans. Bama is buying their players, Bama boosters paying our kids to lay down.

Sorry. Was confusing football.

I know this is the narrative of Wade's defense and rightfully earned since he's been here. But this team was 16th nationally in 3 point defense heading into the game, allowing 27.6% behind the line.

Some were contested, some not. Didn't seem to matter. I watch a lot of college basketball and never seen anything like it.

Burn the tape and move on.

Those first 5 in a row in the first few minutes were an early 'dagger'.

I think that film's been available for the last few years.

Perimeter D seems to be Wade's achilles' heel.
