No, it gets brought up on a daily basis. Thanks for the reminder though. Actually can we get a sticky just so nighttrainlane 13 won't have to remind us tomorrow.

did you also know that he built LSU's football program

No, that guys name is Mark Emmert. And people give Saban too much credit and DiNardo too little credit. Remember guys like Rohan Davey, Josh Reed, Brady James and Domanick Davis were guys DiNardo brought in after securing guys like Mawae, Faulk, Ryan Clark, etc.
He's not the end all be all everyone makes him out to be.

False! If Saban would have stayed, Ryan Perriloux would have never come to LSU. Remember him being the SEC Championship game MVP? He also played a bunch of series that year which got us to that game. And as much as I hate Crowton right now, he was very good at play calling that first year and we would have likely still had Fisher's Run, Run, Pass & Punt offense if Saban would have still been here.

He did not build the program he made it realize it's potential, and he was the employee of the man who really got it started. He is not the best coach in college football he is one of them. Alabama is a easy place to recruit, but the day will come when everthing doesn't fall into place for Little Nicky he will find himself with a less than serviceable QB or injuries will bite him in the arse and he will get his arse and all of fricking gump nation knocked off of their collective pedestal. And hero worshipping, suckasses that constantly think about him like you can't get on without him may just lose the unhealthy infatuation with him and move on with your miserable lives. whew!!! just needed to say that. oh and frick Bama been hating long before little Nicky move in.

Mawae had come and gone before Dinardo became coach

Mawae I don't think ever played on a winning LSU team. He certainly wasn't recruited by Dinardo.

Haven't forgot those losses but in a weird way I think he used those ugly defeats to drive points home to his players.

The perception is, no matter how you feel about the man, he has won two National Championships with two different SEC teams.

OP is high.

Saban took 2 mediocre at best teams and immediately stepped in, changed their attitudes and won national titles.

If this thread was meant to be in support of Miles you have failed. Miles did win a NC (i don't give that credit to Saban as some others do) but he is not without his share of coaching frick ups.

If this thread was meant to be a "saban's not a god" thread, it doesn't matter. His coaching resume and accomplishments outshine anyone in the business right now. There is no one else more proven than him.

No one will accept this fact and If the Hatter blew the Iowa game like Nick did it would have brought the world down on him.

I also forgot that he brought us our first unshared SEC Championship in twenty years. I believe he won two while he was here. We havn't even won the West since his recruits left.

No one has ever seriously contended that Saban is infallible. He is, however, the best college football coach in the nation, by a fairly comfortable margin.

equally amazing is how people can not put things into context. All coaches lose, they even lose games they should not, but you have to put things inot context, look at the entire record, the overall direction and performance of the team, not just cherry pick a couple of games.

UAB was what his 4th game after taking over a team that went 3-8 the year before? He did beat UT that year and finished 8-4 and ranked in the top 25

ULM was a week after a gut wretching loss to his former the week before, again in his first season after taking over a 6-7 team. They finished 7-6.

Iowa was a top 10-15 team, why would that be compared to the other 2? I said at the time he should not have been allowed to coach the game in the first place since he had taken another job.
