he might know the scheme but he is a step slow. if it wasn't for the guy not having full control of the ball in the washington game that would be 2 tds on him not being able to keep up with the wr in pass coverage.

That's why his name is LOSTon. He hasn't looked that great so far. I don't think he looked that great against Washington except Madden hitsticking that TE. Dropped an easy INT too.

I don't see how anyone could think Loston has played well. He gave up a td against UNT and got beat for what should have been a td against UW. He gets limited chances to make plays playing deep safety, he badly needs to step up his game. I think that turf toe is an issue.

well he doesn't play the ball all that greatly so he needs to lay the big hits. He's not really a great cover safety.

Reid misplayed the ball a couple times this season, but you can still see the speed, the ability to make up ground, and the athletism with him. I don't have any doubts about him. He proved himself last season.

I actually think Loston outplayed Reid in the North Texas game and played solid against a good washington passing attack. Except for one bad angle on a miss play by Reid he has played his position extremely well.

It's still early in the season. He'll probably put in a pretty solid season. Miles seems to think he is pretty good or he wouldn't be starting over Martin and when you question Miles you get proven wrong

Those that followed his recruitment closely can easily see they are two different people now. Those monster hits got him where he is of course.
It's obvious he is shy'r, how many concussions has he had?

He really did play better the second game, that's good to see.

I hope he comes around. I followed him through recruiting and was pumped to land him. Have been waiting ever since to see him shine.

Not sure where all the hate is coming from. I guess everyone is frustrated that he isn't living up to his 5 star billing. But he has played well this season. Nothing great, but definitely solid.

He took a bad angle and didn't stop the UNT guy but on both TDs that was Reid's man scoring.

I don't think that was his man on the UDub almost-TD either. looked to be Mills, with Loston having responsibility over the top. at least I hope it wasn't.

if it was, Chavis needs to watch film of Danny McCray in the 07 Bama game to see why you don't want a safety on a WR in that situation.

Coach Chavis said after the UW game he was very happy with Loston's play.

Mark me down for one of the fans that thinks Loston has played well so far, this season. And he already has a couple of his signature hits in both games. I also think Chavis will start to blitz him more as the season progress, he blitzed both Reid and Loston on different 3rd and long plays against UW. Loston kind of reminds me of Reggie Nelson when he was at UF, they nicknamed him "the eraser".
