This is one of those myths that idiots cling to. Are they going to say smith and duplantis are too small? Cant wait for that

The only player in our starting lineup who hasn’t shown they can hit for power is Chris Reid

State has been doing it pretty well with those size players for years. We won an NC in ‘09 with a similar sized lineup to what we currently have.

We are not in the steroid era anymore. Those were good times, but things have changed (including the bats).

You've got 5 non-pitchers under 175 lbs. who play regularly. You say, "..well, DiGiacomo is 6'1". So what, his arms are toothpicks.

Todd Walker weighed a whole whopping 170 pounds. He was arguably one of the best hitters, if not the best (there may be an argument for Furniss), in LSU history.

No one in the starting lineup today is that small. Not even close.

Must not be something to it.

Maybe it’s the pitching???????????????????

I mean, y’all keep dismissing this but everyone knows media guide height and weights are exaggerated. It’s even worse in football. Here’s some from LSUSports:

Watson: 6’0 - 160lbs
Broussard: 5’10 - 162

Then you have Smith, DiGiacomo, Duplantis and Hughes all listed from 172-177. And Hughes hasn’t seen 170 in his life. It’s not crazy to say this lineup is small. I went back and looked at the ‘09 roster and it was full of 6’0 - 190-200lb players.

So you think smith and duplantis and watson are the problem with this lineup? You really believe that?

I never said anything about skill/talent. Y’all are acting like saying these players are on the small side is some outlandish statement though.

If u are saying the small players in the lineup are even close to the reason for lsus losses, you are a moron, pretty simple stance for us

this year it kind of is outlandish. Previous years, yeah they were smaller. We don't have a small team this year. Of the guys in the starting lineup tonight, the only players that would be considered "small" are Watson and Duplantis, and those two just happen to be two very good hitters. This argument is so tired though in a sport like baseball where size just doesn't matter like it does in other sports.

It's really weird LSU fans hone in on this size thing with so many of them also being Astros fans. They have two sub 5'10" all stars that are two of the best hitters in baseball.

So, I looked at UGA and Vanderbilt since they’re two highly ranked SEC teams. You might not want to do that hombre. UGA has one kid listed at 160 and the rest from 180-230lbs. Vanderbilt fields a damn MLB team. Their position players are 6’0-6’4 and 190-230lbs.

In short, y’all have no clue wtf you’re talking about.
