I guess if people are going to criticize the size of the players then the question should be what is their smaller size preventing them from doing? Smith, Watson and Duplantis are 3 of our best hitters and they've been hitting with power this season as well.

I’ll ask again, who in our starting lineup is too small? The only “small” players you could argue are Watson and Duplantis

UGA has one kid listed at 160 and the rest from 180-230lbs.
UGA also has almost identical batting statistics as LSU does this year. Want to know why they're so good? They have a staff ERA of 3.12 while ours is quickly approaching 5.

I’m not saying that this team is losing because of the size of the players. That’s other people’s argument. I’m simply saying the heights and weights are small considering the types of teams LSU was fielding just 10 years ago and they’re are current top ranked teams with much different looking rosters.

Vandy had two kids over 6’0 in their starting lineup last weekend
Not sure what you’re looking at

probably their entire roster and how tall their pitchers are.

Height who cares. This is 2019 and every team in the country lifts weights except us. We have guys 4 years in the program that are the same size as signing day. It's sad.

are they?
Ryan Schimpf 5'9" 181
Mikie Mahtook 6'1" 191
Derek Helenihi 6'0" 170
Jared Mitchell 6'0" 192
Blake Dean 6'1" 208
Sean Ochinko 5'11" 206
Austin Nola 5'11" 192
Micah Gibbs 5'11" 214
DJ Lemahieu 6'4" 193
This was the starting lineup for our national championship team. Would you look at those numbers and think they're big guys? shite, the smallest player in that lineup led the team in home runs.

Mason Katz, Bergman & schimpf are all over LSU’s record books. None of them break 5’10” lol

Nah, Paul is doing just fine. There's nothing to worry about at all, he's got this and this bullshite we have been seeing from LSU is "just baseball" according to the dumbfricks on this site that believe they know more about the sport than the fans that know this is unacceptable. It's just baseball alright...shitty, poorly coached and mismanaged baseball, but it is just baseball. Lol, some of our fans need to wake the hell up and realize that our program is going downhill and Paul isn't going to be able to rebuild it. Wtf are we going to do next season when most of our starters are gone? We will be fricked, that's what. Paul has to go now.

Todd Walker, arguably the greatest player (IMO is the greatest) in LSU history was 6'0" 170 his junior year. HUGE guy
Jason Williams, 5'8" 180, another monster
Russ Johnson, 5'10" 180, wow
I think a lot of people think all our players in the 90s were built like Lyle Mouton

I would imagine that we would lean on the #1 recruiting class from last year.

what does any of this have to do with how big or small the team is? The size of the teams is something that can actually be objectively discussed because we know how tall players are and how much they weigh.

Some of the Skip teams in the early to mid '90's had some big ol boys on em. My son is 18. He's small, by my standards, at 5'10 150lbs. But even he looks bigger than some of these kids out there.

You're comparing 3 of the best players to ever wear the uniform and play baseball at LSU to the players we have on this team to make your point? Gtfo. They also used different bats in college back then when they played and the game has changed big time since then bc of the bat changes. We also just flat out can't hit the ball as well as they did period no matter what bats they used. We don't have near the talent on this team that our championship teams had. Skip was just a flat out better recruiter, coach, and talent evaluator than Paul is. Paul is on the decline and if you aren't willing to admit that much then you are simply in denial.

That class was #1 because of the pitchers they brought in. It won’t mean shite when we can’t keep them on the fricking field.

I'm telling you how big a player is doesn't matter in baseball

well two of those three played in the major leagues and the other made it to the futures all-star game and AAA. pretty sure they still use wooden bats at that level but please correct me if I'm wrong
