I missed the details of his leaving Colorado for NY. Did they just tell him thanks-but-no-thanks?

Think about all of the players who’ve come through since 1969. Bonds, Sosa, McGuire, Griffey Jr, Chipper, Ramirez, Jeter, Ortiz, A-Rod, Pujols, Cabrera, etc.

And those are just the more recent ones. Absolutely crazy stat for him to hold.

DJ the first person ever to record a hit on European soil, and already 2-3 today. He’s a beast.

Cubs feel worse. They let him go to Denver.

Pretty much. I believe they thought his time was over and age played a factor

They have a young kid who was ready to take over and DJ is 30 (31 on July 13) and was seeking a multi-year deal.

He’s an MVP front runner if he keeps this up.

Well DJ just hit a 2 run single with 2 outs. He’s now 4-5 with 5 rbi’s in the 5th inning... dude is a front runner for AL MVP midway through the season.

He’s crushing.

If you asked LSU fans who led the 2009 team in BA not many would tell you DJ LeMahieu. He’s one of the best overlooked hitters during his time at LSU. That’s a product of only playing 2 seasons. .337 freshman year, .350 sophomore year. 183 hits.

He also has the most underrated hit in LSU history from 2 down 2 outs in the top of the 9th against Texas in game 1.

Not sure what you mean about underrated, but in my mind it is straight up the second greatest hit in LSU Baseball history.

The average fan probably couldn’t tell you it happened since it wasn’t a game winner and certainly couldn’t tell you who hit it.

As an LSU Alum, so proud we have 2 Tigers starting the ML All Star game. May be the only time in history that has happened.
