If you notice there were 4 or 5 guys in that round that got around $400k.

J Mitch got drafted by the Twins in the 10th round and they only offered 500k fwiw. Depends on the team. The Yankees offer a million to a lot of their draft picks.

No problem. I was extremely confused about that. Thanks for the clarification.

I would have flamed you, but when I saw it at first......I thought it meant money as well. I went to the top and it said video.

That's impossible.... the owners in major league baseball aren't making any money, except for Bud Selig's salary.

Excuse me 38th not 39th...I'm going on my memory from last year and initially what I was told from his family was 750 large...I'm assuming regardless, it proves a lot of you don't know as much as you think you do...

I wasn't even a doubter... but "Excuse us!" It seems also to prove you don't know as much as you claimed to know about your close personal friend, kid (player?).

your numbers may have been off, but your point still stands, some teams aren't afraid to shell out money, even for late round guys.

This says he was drafted in the 38th round, not the 39th....and it was 550K, not 750K.

Wow, then he is a gigantic liar

Sorry he didn't have the details precisely right. The gist of the story was true (late round pick got tons of coin).

I have to back this gentleman's statement up. And, it should be noted, that the coach of the kid apparently didn't know the round or the signing bonus... while emphatically stating how close he was to the deal... but it was negotiated in the stands of an American Legion game.

$750 k for a 39th rounder seems crazy. But, don't go off on people that question that when you don't have your f/ing facts straight and claim impliedly to be the kid's coach.

Micah Gibbs' grandma said that DJ moved out of their apartment and that Matulis is moving in

Read the whole post. The actual details were given. 38th round with $550k.

Not too bad.
