Honestly never thought he would be this good in the NFL, but very happy for him!

Me either. Always knew the guy was NFL fast, just glad to see his hands, route running, behavior and focus have followed suit

Imagine if he played in an offense that could showcase his talents

Wish we could have seen him with this year's offense. Would have been even more unfair

How many times did we say this about receivers during Miles' tenure? It's a crime how much talent was wasted with his archaic offense

Lester Earl told me he was no better than a WR3 in the nfl and that he wasn’t better than Trey Quinn lol

If it's a negative comment, you can assume Lester Earl said it. It's his way to feel cool

Really?? The kid never played in the type of offense while at LSU where he could develop as a receiver until he got to the NFL. Just think if he had played in this year's LSU offense with his speed. Lol I mean holy cow, what a terror and the country thought that the LSU receivers this season were a terror. Lol So, this comes as no surprise to me, I'm happy for the kid and wish him long term success.

I’ll never forget Danny Etling dropping a dime on Chark against Bama, and Chark angling away from it. Had he gone straight it would have hit him in the head as he crossed the goal line. And for all eternity folks say that if Etling had been able to deliver we could have beaten Bama that year. It was then I thought that Chark would never make it in the league. Boy, was I wrong.

Lester was right about this one. Chark came into his own after he left LSU. Some guys develop late, and he was one.

Very Mike Wallace-like season

Was he an original pick or did he get on because someone can’t make it? There’s a difference. Any away congrats.

And that is incorrect. DJ Chark is a lead WR who had far more targets than any other Jaguars player despite missing a game. He’s also much better than Mike Wallace after the catch (329 YAC) this season Wallace averaged about 193 YAC yards per season. Chark is much more versatile than Wallace ever was and they’re not close to the same size or body type, (Chark 6-4) -(Wallace 6-0) . The only similarity between the 2 is speed so your player eval is inaccurate.

Nah, if he develops into a lead WR I’ll eat my crow on him.

Nfl rank

27th in reYds
29th in receptions

That’s not a lead WR.

And He doesn’t have to be identical size to be like Mike Wallace.

Lol he already has. He’s the #1 on his team, not by injury but because he’s earned that spot and his production justified his rise to that position. By any definition he’s a lead WR. Plus he’s made a pro bowl and had 118 targets in 15 games which is top 20 in the league. You’re confusing “Elite” WR with a number 1 WR.

Btw you’re right he doesn’t need to be identical size to be Mike Wallace but he does need to be in the ballpark in size and player type which he’s neither. By your logic Joey Galloway at 5-10 and Randy Moss at 6-4 are the same exact player because they were both fast.

Odell caught 74 passes in 16 games this year
Chark caught 73 in 15 games this year.

Is Odell a #1 WR? If so then how is Chark not a #1 and since Charks production has exceeded some #1s this year why aren’t you giving him credit for it?
