Well, that dude is terrible but you have to understand where they're coming from. Nick turns 70 in a few weeks. He's finally starting to look a little worn down. LSU's next hire will likely sign a contract that will be active when Nick retires. Their savior, Dabo, if fielding a pretty awful team this year. IF LSU hits with this hire it could be huge for the next decade of LSU football.
The author of that article is an Auburn alum. I don't think it has anything to do with Bammer.

Goodman may be an Auburn alum (no idea) but I live in AL and read the paper here frequently and he worships Saban. As soon as I saw this thread I thought it had to be Goodman. He’s a terrible writer so I didn’t waste my time reading the article but I assume it’s full of Bama/Saban love and terrible attempts at humor.
By the way, he recently wrote an article claiming that TX and OK are joining the SEC based solely on Saban being the GOAT.

Surprised his audience can read in that state

Don’t want to or need to read the article but I will comment that Alabama has not run a successful coaching search in 30+ years when they hired Stallings in 1990. You cannot include Saban hiring as the result of a quality coaching search as that search led Alabama to offer and be jilted by Rich Rodriguez and they lucked into Saban leaving MIami. Before that they had coaching searches resulting in Mike Dubose, Dennis Franchione, Mike Price and Mike Shula

Remember that time a meh coach who speaks like Cookie Monster was able to build the greatest team in college football history who physically manhandled every team they played including the great Lord Saban’s all-world Bama team?
They just salty that they got beat by the Shrimp boat captain from Larose and can’t claim greatest team ever.

It isn't an article. It's an opinion column

Cannot imagine what has been buried for tide football

Keep in mind a fact about writers. These were and are the goobers that never played organized sports,
I don’t think you know what a fact is buddy

Agreed. I've only read a little of his work, but each one read more like a high school kid's attempt at a persuasive essay.

The outgoing bozo had a better winning percentage at LSU than any Alabama head coach not named Bear Bryant or Nick Saban.
So did the previous Bozo and the previous one had a better winning percentage than little Nicky while at LSU.

a. Most sportswriters now are actually former players athletes at some level, from what I've seen.
b. A person can write about or even coach a sport without ever playing it. Examples of coaches who never played football: Mike Leach, High Freeze, and David Cutcliffe. Scrubs, I know
C. Fact? I'll bet you use the word literally a lot.

It is not shocking that these now "adults" are effeminates that want to do away with traditional manliness
Do you make broad assumptions about groups of people like this often?

They're no different than a writer for E! Or the National Enquirer.
I do not read those but apparently you do, can you tell me what those writers are like? I'm assuming you have some in depth knowledge of the individual writers. Maybe you follow them or something?

Who do you write for? Didn't mean to strike a nerve.
And yes, they're called generalities for a reason. For example. Most sports fans enjoy beer. I doubt all 100% do.

Look at my writing, If I'm writing for a publication, it definitely needs an upgrade.

True enough but

That is not a generality, that is conjecture based on your experience which incorporates a fairly small subsection of sports fans. But I suspect you are correct. Particularly in the US (or Germany
Whatever the case, I'd drink a beer with you at a tailgate or in tiger stadium I'd even buy
