All the camp reports suggested that he was running with the 1s and he looked the best. Like many, i was interested to see how he looked in game. I think Berry, Durham, and Gage have talent, but there’s a clear gap in the vision, balance, and power between those guys vs Jones. He looked like a true SEC back

Doesn’t have burner speed, clearly a specimen and full balanced body im assuming as a multi sport star with a core built around balance as you can tell by wrestling experience at a high level in hs. He is a unit and I am a HUGE fan I hope we can get a second back to spell him bc this guy is the heart of the offense at this point.

He's pretty fast, but he refuses to go down without a fight. That makes him special, and he almost seems to take joy in punishing the defenders.

What he lacks in speed he makes up for with his feel for the flow of where he needs to hit the hole. Great vision and anticipation for the most part. He presses then bounces nicely too. He looked fantastic last night.

I feel so bad for Harlem. Hope he stays and earns more touches next year, but he's just not Kiffin's prototypical RB

Running in between the tackles and the ability to break tackles goes a long way in the SEC, RB1

The o-line and play calling were exceptional. The over the top is going to be there when we run the ball like that and the talent Lane has - even in his first year - super impressive.

At some point people will stop putting so much stock in the recruiting star model. I love how this staff evaluates players outside of that ridiculous bubble.

It’s always struck me as just the laziest thing in the world.
It’s certainly one relevant piece of information, but it never has been the end all be all.

Yap, it sells clicks & they know it. With the players putting all the information on Twitter themselves, this is really all the sites have to hang their hats on now. It feels like there are less boots on the ground that watch these kids first hand vs 10-15 years ago, too

Really impressed with how he runs through arm tackles. He doesn't look that big (maybe it's the #13), but he's a really strong and powerful runner.

His highlights from Wisconsin looked great. Very powerful, low to the ground, but can also pop one. He is the cowbell, but great to see that whole room is really strong

Clemson may not be very good but they were top 30 in rushing defense last season and Sammy Brown and Will heldt were a large part in that. We just ran for over 300 yards on their arses
