But Alleva said that is not the goal. Being in the Hunt is the goal, not winning them. Am I the only one who had a HUGE problem with this statement when he said it??

The talent is NOT EVEN. There is no chance it will be until after Saban is gone. Get used to it. Ask yourself instead - would you rather live in Alabama or Louisiana? I thought so. It is only a game. Let it go.

Faulty premise. Talent is not a wash.

Bama has superior talent. Has superior coaching when it comes to preparation and in game adjustments.

No man - you don't fire a winning coach in today's culture.
Unless Pete Carroll is coming in from the NFL and taking over.

You would have to bring in a big name to knock heads with a Saban. Otherwise, be content with a winning program.

"And looking back, people thought LSU was fricking insane to get rid of Cholly Mac for basically the same type of teams."

Great observation!

I'd say the talent is about equal. You don't think so? Bama may have the edge at qb but not because of talent; only because Met hasn't delivered in the clutch when he needed to. Improve on just that alone a little and you are looking at a different outcome against Bama last year and both losses this year. I would say not much difference at all, except for that.

Saban wasn't winning every game here either

Wrong. Bama has better LBs, and better safeties, the rest is a wash.

It's all on Les and his conservative Michigan roots.

Conservative isn't what threw 3 ints and killed momentum. Aggressive playcalling is what did that.

We're stuck at 10-2 or 9-3 for years to come

Probably, with a championship type season sprinkled in every now and then.

I'd rather play with 10 men on D and have any 2 starting Bama LBs (Mosley plus take your pick) over any 3 of our LBs.

I agree. The BCS abortion the Miles engineered has cost LSU in more ways than one would like to believe.

LSU is a top 15 program, and Bama is a dynasty.

The talent is not a wash. They have better players than we do if you take depth into account. Especially on defense.

I saw a QB that was throttled back with the conservative gameplan trying to make plays since he was handing off most of the first half

LSU was a top 15 program. After Furman, I doubt it will be again.

Bama is prepared to play EVERY week. We're prepared to play about 80% of the time. The other problem?? Sabin doesn't accept sloppy play.....Les let's too much go.
