re: Did we recruit this Bolden from bama

Through the first 4 games of 2020, Bolden had 0 catches. He mainly plays special teams and wildcat QB. Bolden is getting PT and targets today because he was the #4 WR and Waddle’s backup.

nah, it didn't happen that way.

LSU never really gave it a chance. And there were real and legitimate reasons for that. Like the poster above said, he's depth. There were always going to be better RBs recruited, WRs too.

Personally, I thought we should have legitimately pursued him. I think we only had 22 enrollees in that class and we're now way below the 85 limit. But that's hindsight.

I, just my own opinion, thought we should have offered him because you can always use a player who can play three positions. You never know what he might develop into or when/where you will need such. But I'm a Monroe/WM homer too.

But now, and then, I get why LSU passed. But it had nothing to do with WM hating LSU. In fact the WM staff tried repeatedly to sell Bolden to Ensminger and Orgeron.

ETA: the whole school was disappointed when Bolden didn't get an offer/committable offer prior to his Bama visit. He received one on that visit. But the whole town was desperately wanting to see him at LSU.

Obviously they missed on Provens, but taking Pooka would have been a bad mistake. You stay away from guys like that; they will ruin your team.
