It was really awesome.

LSU fans used to travel and take over places. Since then LSU fans don’t travel at all for football. SEC games, bowl games. There were hardly any LSU fans at the Florida, Auburn, and Alabama road games the last couple of years.

This is the sad truth. We use to sell out our away game ticket allotments every year. Other than neutral site games in Houston or Dallas, we haven't brought over 10K fans to a regular season road game since the trip to Lambeau. With the exception of the 2015 Texas Bowl, we've traveled pitifully to bowl games as well in recent years. Hopefully that trend will begin to reverse itself with the trip to Austin next season.

No it did not but I remember saying to my wife at least 30 times, during the game, “ are you f-ing kidding me”?
Usually after the 15th time I use the F word my wife will say it is time to slow down. Not this game.
I never looked at Les the same.

It was disappointing. But I would not go so far as to say that it killed my love for my tigers. Win some lose some, that’s just part of life.

No, the hiring of O killed the fan base.

This isn’t even a knock on O.

But after a decade of a split base over Miles, Alleva had it in his hands to bring in an offensive minded coach that EVERYONE had been asking for.

Hell, I started a thread after Miles was fired titled “Can we all finally be friends again”

Instead, he made an absolutely bizarre hire of his defensive line coach, that happened to have an awful head coaching record in our own division, that until he wins at least an SEC title OR make the CFP (you don’t have to do one to make the other nowadays) will continue to divide the fan base even further.

It was an incomprehensibly idiotic move when he could have been a hero, and fans would have accepted a few years transitioning to a new and proven system under a respected offensive mind as the leader of the LSU program.

Mind blowing.

I don't think Etling was available that game. I think his back was giving him issues.

Don't burst their bubble. If they all knew that Etling had back issues before that game, it would ruin their shite on Miles, Cameron and Harris posts.

O & E turned that offense around just by changing QBs.

Goddamn, I always thought Miles was still the head coach when Etling was put in the game at the start of the second quarter against Jacksonville State in 2016.

Jacksonville State Game:
Player School Cmp Att Pct Yds Y/A AY/A TD Int Rate
Danny Etling LSU 6 14 42.9 100 7.1 5.4 1 1 112.1
Brandon Harris LSU 1 4 25.0 8 2.0 2.0 0 0 41.8

Mississippi State Game:
Player School Cmp Att Pct Yds Y/A AY/A TD Int Rate
Danny Etling LSU 19 30 63.3 215 7.2 7.8 1 0 134.5

Auburn Game:
Player School Cmp Att Pct Yds Y/A AY/A TD Int Rate
Danny Etling LSU 15 27 55.6 118 4.4 5.1 1 0 104.5

Harris didn't play another down of football for LSU after the first quarter of the Jacksonville State game.

This. And not even so much we got O, it’s just that Alleva put zero effort into it.

Agreed, but Cam and Les waited too long. After losing to Wisky, Alleva had his finger on the trigger waiting for an opportunity (as he should have). Had they swapped Etling for Harris in the preseason they probably beat Wisky, and with Etling more settled in they probably beat Auburn. All of this, and more, probably would have happened if Miles had fired Cam and replaced him with a better OC.

We've basically heard the same shite from Ed.

This is BS. O is honest to a fault. I love it.

I would scream at the radio often when miles was telling lies and mixing it with other nonsense not even relevant to football.
