How the hell did this turn into a "Who was a better high school RB" thread? Go put on your old letter jackets and slap each other at the local bowling aley over that.

Steve's a good friend of mine. I can vouch for this.

World championships in softball in either Panama City or Orlando...not sure. Doesn't matter now, we had several guys that were sent down south for the hurricane.

I think Scott will surpass Hester's yardage if he can take the pounding every game and stay healthy. Hester was a tough guy that very seldom showed any sign of injury. We will know more after we play Auburn.

I think Murphy and Williams have the afterburners.

I don't know about that I've seen murphy get run down twice from behind. Once against La Tech and once in the game against Ohio State.

I remember Eddie George in college got run down from behind and he was so disgusted with himself that he stayed after practice each day to run wind sprints so it wouldn't happen again..I was hoping for a similar statement from Scott...but when he was asked..he laughed about about it...

I don't think wind sprints make you faster.

I do not think your question can be answered until he gets into SEC competition and makes that one yard on 4th down consistantly. Hester always went into the line very close to the ground with impact to make damn sure he got it. Time will tell.
