Did Joe Burrow really account for 14 TDs in 2 playoff games?

Remind me again. Did I get the coronavirus and wake up in a stupor? Or did that really happen?

14 TDs in two PLAYOFF games!! 12 passing TDs. We had entire seasons go by with games against group of 5 and FCS opponents and not have 12 passing TDs.

How do you wrap your head around that?

That’s a good season for a qb under miles. I would’ve taken 14 tds in 12 games with Brandon harris.... let that set in

I do it by continually watching replays to confirm what my mind tells me to believe.

It happened, damnit! The Easter Bunny and Santa told me it did.

hell, the 2018 version of Joe Burrow only had 16 passing TDs a whole season.

I watch a game every night on my 2nd monitor. Caught the championship game last night for the 15th time. I might play back the Auburn game tonight or Utah State, haven't watched either one of those in a couple weeks

What triggered me on this was I was re-watching some of the Heisman stuff and pre-playoff hype and they would keep flashing Joe's numbers, which at the time was 48 passing TDs. And he finished with 60 obviously. An average of over 1 passing TD per quarter over the course of the entire season.

Ludicrous! Insane!

You couldn't do that on EA Sports College Football, much less in real life.

He accounted for those touchdowns in 1 and 1/2 playoff games.

Member when we said “well he would have to play just as good or better in the playoffs to break all these records.”

Well......

That is true. Also, 11 of the 14 were in the first half of both games.

He's been nothing short of absurd as far as putting up numbers. If Brennan get's at least half those numbers we are in good shape next year.

Think about this. We scored 49 points in the second quarters of the two playoff games.

The only difference between the Clemson and OU games was the fact that Venables was able to stymie us (combined with utterly crappy field position) for the first few series. When we got the ball down 17-7, there was only about 10 mins or so left in the half. We then proceeded to put the hammer down.

The one full season Brandon Harris started the majority of the games at LSU (2015), he accounted 17 total TD's - 13 passing, 4 rushing

Venables did a really good job of scheming against our offense for the first quarter. But once we realized they were soloing our best receiver, it was game over. They could have had 12 men on the field that day and it wouldn't have mattered.
