You can’t take Orgeron’s comments about Canada maybe leaving for another job in isolation. The reports about him and Canada not getting along add context to his quotes. The reports that Alleva had to sit the two down after the Troy loss makes it more than rantards over reacting to what otherwise might have been innocuous comments.

The dynamic at work now seems to be Orgeron hoping Canada leaves on his own. That seems unlikley due to the fact the jobs Canada is applying for pay less than he makes at LSU.

If the friction between Canada and Orgeron is too bad, it creates dysfunction. How bad is ir? We don’t know, but it doesn’t sound good. Is is so bad LSU would make up the salary difference if Canada leaves? We don’t have inside info to know.

We do know Orgeron and Detillier are close and Detilier likely has more insight than the average ranter on how bad the relationship is. If Detillier is predicting Canada won’t even coach bowl game, it sounds more and more like a Orgeron wants Canada out.

This is a message board and there is plenty enough real smoke out there to make Canadas future a subject of fair discussion.

All that said, I think it’s sucks they can’t get along. I thought Canada’s offense evolved nicely over time and think it could be even better a year in.

Alleva has already called O in, and told him, to tell Ponamsky to cut that shite out

This is all part of Herr Pomansky's plan.

Bring in a new OC, that way when LSU goes 8-4/9-3 in 2018 they can say "BUT WE HAD TO BREAK IN A NEW OFFENSE...WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!"

wait until next year...something LSU fans aren't used to hearing.

O could easily at any moment quash any kind of rumor

First of all, no he couldn't. Second of all since it isn't a secret that Canada is looking for a head coaching job, why would O not support him in that endeavor. Why would O want to squash that rumor? Squashing the rumor and then having Canada jump ship isn't going to prevent you from knowing that he has left the building!!!

Sounds more and more like CANADA wants to advance his career and become a head coach. What and arse. How dare he.

O is not much different from Miles, especially once he gets more comfortable here. I’ll never understand firing Miles only to hire the DL coach from within. Miles had to go though and we are slightly better atm. Geaux Tigers!

O is too insecure. Ceo is looking like CLM v2.
O is insecure, but comparing him to CLM is retarded.

I legit had no idea what was going on - don’t venture here much because I’ll get banned, but I kept seeing threads about having to change the offense for the bowl game and finding a new OC

This is yet another example of the group-think regurgitation that has become tRant

this is so true.

makes this a pretty boring place where some idiot creates a narrative and it is repeated so often it becomes "true". George Orwell was way ahead of his time but I see this same shite on all but the main media outlets and these outlets are being ignored (major newspapers, actual news segments on major networks, etc). it seems most are getting their "news" from news "shows" programs with an editorial host and blogs; places where opinions and rumor become fact. popular rumors on the tRant are:

-the back up qb is the bestest
-orgeron stabbed miles in the back and took his job
-alleva only looked at 2 candidates and settled for Orgeron w/o checked the market
-Canada and Orgeron had a fight and it was because he tinkered with the offense; something he was not allowed to do
-orgeron wants a pro style only offense
-orgeron does nothing as HC; lets his coordinators and asst(s) do everything

I guess I could go on but there will be new stuff come up as soon as people can imagine them or the local sports media in baton rouge dreams them up (to get hits)
