Not sure we can blame all of last night on Crowton. Jefferson either look for a 2-yard pass or a 62 yard pass. No intermediate looks from him. Turnovers are not Crowton's fault.

I'm not saying he is the guy.....I'm just saying last nite was not all his fault. I fault Chavis just as much, if not more.

I'm sure Alleva and Martin have been on the phone with Les this morning.

When your offense is not capable of sustaining drives, it means the defense is going to be on the field alot longer.

Agreed. But when your running backs can't hold on to the ball and you defense can't stop the run or pass in the 2nd half......????

I hope they were. If not, our football program is in serious trouble.

My problem is that we never developed any sort of rythm. I assumed we were going to try and run the ball more from a power running standpoint to wear down second string linemen.

Seems we were consistently trying something "cute."

UNC on the other hand used those short slants successfully. They seemed to have a plan.

Penalties killed us, and that's not all on coaching, but I didn't feel like we had a plan.

Crowton will not get fired in mid season, he and Les will be allowed to slowly destroy the football program from within, leaving us in miserable shape going into 2011. Both Les and Crowton should have been fired last year, Les is more concerned about being "fair" to under performing players and coaches than he is about winning ball games, that's the difference between him and other elite coaches who have a killer instinct.

This. I don't even know why the decision was made to try and sit on the lead. The decision at half should have been "let's try to put up 35 in the second half."

I didn't see this, but being at the game doesn't give the same perspective.

My view is that a few horrible plays-roughing the kicker, 97 yard pass, turnover on their 10 yard line that would have made it 37-10 were the culprits.
I didn't get the sense of a dig a hole and hope type offense. Defense maybe.

The play calling was terrible.

The mistakes were terrible. But don't they really fall back to coaching and team discipline?

You teach to cover up the ball in the 4th and play situational football. You teach not to rough the punter. You teach the ability to see a rush, get out of the pocket and throw the ball away. You teach to stay disciplined on defense, tackle and stay with your man.

It all comes back to the coaches. Even the mistakes.

This is the first time I've said this. I've been a CLM supporter through thick and thin. But I'm going to have to say "FIRE THEM ALL!!!
