Sorry if Germans but did anyone hear the caller on the Richard Condon show yesterday say he knew Lyle Hitt and that Hitt told him the reason why we are struggling to run the ball is because any time we get in any formation we are extremely predictable? He said this is what's hurting us the most and nothing else. It's all of the predictable playcalling. He said everytime we get in a running formation, they know exactly what we're gonna do and they put 8 people in the box. Thoughts?

Maybe if Hitt threw a decent block and took care of his man they could run the ball too, Hitt seems like a good guy but he certainly isn't the best lineman we have.

That's kinda BS. I guess using that logic, anyone who is successful running the football has to disguise it - and we know that's not the case.

What about the teams that have the o-lines that line up and execute and physically manhandle the opponent? They run it whether the opposing team likes it or not. We haven't seen that ability yet in our o-line. Hope it shows up this weekend.

How about when a team lines up in the I formation that the other team knows what's most likely coming, yet a lot of times the running back is somewhat successful and can pick up 3 to 4 yards at a time? In other words, that information is a crock of shite if it's true. Which, by the way, I seriously doubt.

LSU's problem is that the entire OL is not only creating holes but too busy fighting for their life getting pushed backwards on a lot of snaps.

don't need a caller or anyone that knows an LSU player.. to realize that..

just a rudimentary knowledge of football

If hurst was playing instead of stub armed hitt, holes would open up. He reminds me of the t-Rex in meet the robinsons. All body no arms.

I think it is true, and JJ needs to call out of that crap!

I am sick and tired of LSU not playing LSU football.

Is the team sick and tired yet?

Coaches better have an answer this week!

do we really need a loss right before UF to get a wake up call?

Well then I guess he can't get called for holding, huh?

Agree 100%. It is so predictable, it has already gotten terribly boring.

Sounds feasible. We are very predictable.

Crowton calls the play and Miles changes it. Happens all the time. As Gordy said after the MSU game - "The best remedy for the struggling offense is taking the headset off Les Miles".

I seem to remember Nebraska and OU running over teams and they knew they were going to run it every time.

How does that explain hitt sucking for going on 3 years now?

That sounds like an excuse. Last year they would run the same formation and Herm/Black/Helms would open up a hole you could drive a truck thru.

CS looked like he was shot out of a cannon half the time. Sometimes the 1st person to touch him was a safety.
