I don't even know who Teddy Greenstein is, but I love that guy

Kudos to these guys for acknowedging that LSU deserved the championship. I wish somebody had mentioned LSU's 5-0 record vs. the TOP 15, though. Outside of Oklahoma (3-1), no other team even came close to having that kind of record vs. the best teams. hell, USC was 0-0.

In that particular year, yes LSU was as deserving as anyone else. If not, LSU would have been co champs again because the voters would've made their sentiment known.

Georgia or USC would've had a better argument had they played each other instead of Hawaii and Illinois.

Oklahoma had an argument until West Va blew them out.

Sure hope all the crybabies at Georgia and USC get to read this article. Let's save it and next time they post their whining we'll just post this for them.

Whether you get to the BCSCG game is determined by the rules the BCS adopts before the season. Whoever gets there deserves to be there, by definition. Whoever wins the game gets the trophy and, also by definition, deserves it. Anyone who thinks there should be a different outcome needs to fix the rules, not bitch about who won by the rules in place. Or, to quote Dan Jenkins in "Semi-Tough", "What could have happened, did."

I suppose Georgia had a beef but I really got turned off with the whole Michael Adams, Rose Bowl argument. By the end of the day, Georgia looked like donkeys because its actions were a backhanded slap at the Sugar Bowl.

Jeez, every time I click onto this website and start reading about football the rest of my day goes to hell. I've been seeing promos for the NFL and just can't get charged up about pro ball. LSU football? Good grief, all I do is click on this site and I'm daydreaming about Saturday's at Tiger Stadium the rest of the day. It is the best sport on earth, without question.

No team that suffers a four touchdown loss in the regular season deserves a shot at the title

Teddy Greenstein: What, would you prefer a three-loss team? Yes, I am exceedingly comfortable with the crowning of LSU. Just how comfortable? Picture yourself lying in a hammock made of marshmallows, a gentle breeze blowing while you watch a best-of compilation of Minka Kelly's "Lyla" character on "Friday Night Lights."

LSU was basically the last comic standing when it came time to pick two teams to play for the national championship.

that argument about sums it up for me. the 2007 team may not go down as one of the best NC's ever, but in THAT YEAR, it was the best team.
