Say What ?

BS, there is enough money to afford an outside independent supervisor.

(If true, this is a real problem and needs to CHANGE.)

If you cannot see the blatant CONFLICT OF INTEREST of a Bama supporter, native, friend of Bear Bryant, etc etc etc ... being in the replay booth as the supervisory/grading official of the designated replay official AND able to give advice to same.... you are a fool. Whether it actually happened or not cannot be proven - yet.

If you don't think a supervisor in the booth stating "it looks incomplete to me" wouldn't have an effect on someone working under him, then you have been living in Birmingham too long.

this was a completely blown call.. as was the goalline call in the Miss State/UF game -- in which Burleson was performing the SAME functions. I wonder if Burleson was involved in the UT/Bama game. -- Will attempt to find out.

Here's the BS of the whole deal. If this call had happened to Alabama, the SEC would have never played this "no comment" card. They wouldn't be able to because if they did, thousands of outraged Alabama fans would be surrounding the building, beating on the walls, demanding an explanation.

All I want to know is, "Why it happened?", and "What actions will be taken so that it doesn't happen again?"

I think that is all most of us really want; the courtesy of an explanation (just like the Alabama fans would receive).

good job TVision. We're talking about the most corrupt program in the nation, according to NCAA standards. And we're overcooking the grease? no way we should let this go, you can promise this won't be the last time....

Let Bama keep winning like they are right now, and they'll always get these calls to keep in the big money bowl games.

guys, Dick is a GT alum and huge fan all the way. He is not a Bama alum; therefore, your assertions using an LSU alum not officiating an LSU contest is flawed.

he personally told me the Bear "you better be right" story. While he does have time in the STATE of Alabama, he is not a fan in that sense that may influence his job/hobby. He is objective as hell and I think alot of him.

the fact that some of you younger hot heads "know" something is rotten in Denmark does not make it truth.

Again, stop trying to draw a direct UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA connection. The SEC office is in Alabama, should Slive be excluded on athletic decision making or review of any official perofmances? NO!

Then he shouldn't be paid directly by University of Alabama boosters.

Bama$$ plus replay influence = CONFLICT OF INTEREST !!!!!

Why cant you apologists grasp this basic concept ?

We don't know if he actually did anything but the replay call is damn good circumstantial evidence that something crazy went down.

No way should he be involved in Bama games. NO WAY.

Edit -- should be addressed to Charles

and convictions are not typically based on that.

BTW, he has been paid by more universities than Bama for a variety of appearances, seminars, etc.

and we do not have all the evidence either, do we? The SEC is making sure of that. They will not even say what the justification for the call was.

Then perhaps he should excuse himself from any offical activity at universities if he intends to make a profit.
