We desperately needed him on defense, however, Imagine him carrying the ball out of the banckfield for us last year!

Ran faster than OBJ, Guice, TM7, LF7, and Claiborne. OBJ looks untouchable in the open field and LF was clocked as the fastest ball carrier in the NFL in 2017.

He apparently looked great in drills too! Dominant combine results and dominant on tape, he's the complete package. Has to be considered one of, if not the safest pick in the draft.

As impressive as this raw time is, he has as good acceleration from stop to full speed of any inside linebacker I can recall.

That acceleration and speed for a Mike is his killer app, IMHO.

I officially think he would have been a first round pick and a all time great at RB too. 4.42 at that size is scary.

And that 4.49 at 260# was in high school, I remembered because I thought that just doesn't seem possible

I'm very sure... These completions don't get the adrenaline out of them that the football field does. It also doesn't bring out their competitive edge.

You add those variables and this guy can run what he wants. He's proven it time and time again. He's run down some of the fastest athletes in the country.

You can say it's homerism but most people have no clue. Would someone run faster on a track or when they feel they're in danger or feel the need to get to a spot faster than the next guy? Of course they will run faster when pushed to do so. The human body is made to kick into another gear when it has to and it occurs naturally, you can't make that happen unless you're trained to do so.

I guess it you practice something over and over then you can make anything happen once you've perfected it.
