Canada has a guarantee through 2019 whether O likes him or not.
The press said Orgeron held up a virtual sign at his presser reading Hire Matt Canada. I seriously doubt that but TD did have his sign posted that he hoped he found a HC gig. O, once a lowly D-Line guy with a recycled OM Binder hit the Alleva Lottery Ball.
Then Detillier says Canada has Coached his last Game.
He is not visiting QB recruits and has 1 commit from last July.
So LSU is not stable. Orgeron is apparently in the market for a new offensive coordinator after just one season of Matt Canada.
Canada won a battle, but apparently Orgeron wants to win the war. Detillier says Orgeron still doesn't like Canada's offense.
"I always thought Ed wanted to run USC South — power I-formation with a fullback, tight end and wide receivers," Detillier said. "Obviously, he didn't get that with Canada. Motion all over the place."

OC at Louisiana
Why would Canada want to coach in a little town in north Louisiana like Monroe or any other Junior College in the State?

I'm confused lol WTF did coach O think he was getting with Canada?

If so, sounds like we have a CLM clone on our hands.
O sold JA on hands off coordinators-so I guess that was just sales talk and JA bought it.

That th at Pitt, Conner, made Canada look way better than he is

If this is true, then CEO can pack his shite and go apply to Nichols and leave us alone

Sauces say Canada is gone... these sauces coach for LSU..... these sauces may or may not be trusted

Mine say he’s gone too. I think it’s very possible both sides want to separate but there’s not an ideal landing spot available.

Haha you don’t know shite. Same bullshite as always. Everyone knows somebody. Nobody knows shite.

Sure if I was hearing it from someone who heard it... I heard it from a current LSU position coach

Is this a first? Has there ever been a once coveted OC want to leave on his own terms after just one year? I mean we're all on the outside looking in, wonder if he signed a non-disclosure agreement. Guess we'll never find out where O keeps his cookie jar.
Posted on 12/17/17 at 8:22 pm to VooDude
Not worried, I would hope he stays since I think LSU would be better offensively in year two
Posted on 12/17/17 at 8:27 pm to tduecen
What? Running fly sweeps to Gage and Sullivan, fly patterns, and halfback option passes?
I don't think we'll even have an average running game next year. Attrition...

What did O think he was getting in Canada? The same thing we all thought we would see. We thought his gameplan was diverse and the only reason PITT used as much trickery is because they were not as talented across the board than LSU.
Canada is not a victim here the way that some are making him out to be. I think the stories in mid-season were a little misconstrued and made O out to be the bad guy. He deserved some of the blame, but Canada was fcking up.
People bitched about the dumb penalties early on and a lot of it had to do with the OC's prep with the offense. This team was not focused and executing the offense Canada was running.
People make fun of O saying he isn't a true head coach and doesn't have a specialty, but when he does step in he's wrong. I tell you this, he wasn't my first choice but I respect him for making a CEO decision to put Canada in check. The offense cost us games this year. He had every right to say something. Canada's feeling hurt, he needs to go where he is the alpha male. Ready for Briles or Freeze.

LSU has a few talented RB's that has never been an issue

SO now people are discrediting Canada as "trickery" really?
Posted on 12/17/17 at 8:35 pm to tduecen
If Canada is gone I will fondly remember going from Les Miles scratching his nuts for 25 sec and then calling a play to Canada running all kind of motion and getting play off.
I think we could do better I think we could do worse so meh over situation
