I have given him credit for not letting the season go down the shitter in almost every one of these threads.
However, the teams we beat besides Auburn were nothing all that special if you're being honest with yourself. Am I glad we won them? Yes. Does it forgive the terrible early losses or inspire me to think O was the right hire? No.

Who gives a frick? That is giving credit and then taking it right back. It's not like O went and picked who we played to get us back on track. He played the rest of the schedule and the team kicked arse doing it.

It wasn't like he had no talent to work with. To the contrary, our defense was stocked with talent. The knock I kept hearing about the system he was running at LSU was that it was FAR too complicated for the players, hence all the mental mistakes. I was definitely not impressed with Steele when he was here. He may have been half-assing it since he already knew he was one-and-done here and was going back to the state of Alabama after 2015.
